I love these shorts the colour is more of a faded black than solid black but that’s fine. I wear a 27 in their high rise super skinny jeans (but those are stretchy) these I sized up to a 28, the waist is a bit big, but they fit nicely in my hips / butt. I’m 140lbs 5’7” my natural waist (where you bend at your belly button) is 26” when I’m standing but when I’m sitting it’s closer to 27” I’m not sure if I sized down to a 27” I would be able to comfortably sit down! I may try with a lighter colour, black dyed items tend to be a bit tighter (the way the fabric holds the dye is what I’ve been taught) The pockets on both the front and back can fit an iPhone in them comfortably- the button fly has a big button on top and a row of smaller ones, I struggled a bit to get them in (that’s what she said) but that’s mainly user error- I prefer them over zippers! I don’t care for the distressing on the bottom, I didn’t realise that it was there (could be bc I didn’t look close enough) it’s not the end of the world and I’ll wear them- just a bit odd to have this lil dangle bit floppin about ... show more

I never leave reviews, but I have to this time. These are the most flattering denim shorts I’ve ever worn. The waist, hips and legs fit perfectly and despite not having stretch they are very comfortable. I am 5’5”, 128lbs and typically wear a size small or 4 in shorts and jeans. They do run small so I recommend sizing up one size. I’ll definitely be ordering more colors. ... show more

So let me preface this by saying these are the CUTEST shorts. As advertised they do run small, I wear a 27 pretty much across the board and have multiple pairs in that size, but they are very fitted and very cheeky. These were a good deal, so I sized up to a 28 hoping for a little more booty coverage. There is slightly more coverage, and the waist is looser so a slightly more comfortable fit, but I think I like the way the 27’s look better so I may end up returning. Now to be clear, I use comfortable very loosely because these are not comfortable shorts in either size. They are very short and tend to ride up, which is great if you’re looking for a cheeky fit. Sitting down they are downright uncomfortable, there is zero stretch and the cut into your crotch. Sizing up did not really fix this issue. The cuteness makes it worth it though, so I just don’t wear them when I know I’m going to be doing a lot of sitting. Of note, the strings in the distressing do rip in the wash, so I wash on gentle and do not dry or you end up with just a mess of strings (known from past experience). If you’re going for looks, it doesn’t get cuter than this. If comfort and the convenience of just tossing in the wash and drying is your thing, keep shopping. ... show more

Size up one size and buy the shorts! Super cute! Wore them to the Morgan Wallen concert last weekend and felt confident and comfortable! Good quality denim, love the button enclosure- be warned it is stiff to begin with and there is no stretch but the material shapes to your body. I love this brand of shorts but this particular style missed the mark for me. It is so hard to find a nice pair of shorts that don't have a raw hem so when I found these on sale I was thrilled! Love the dark wash and the rise but they are super short! I usually wear a size 28 in their shorts and the waist fits perfect but my butt is almost hanging out of them so I am sad that I'll have to return them ... show more

I usually wear a size 28 so that’s what I ordered and they fit great. Although they are a bit shorter than I expected them to be. For reference I am 5’2 140lbs. Size 28 waist and 36 hips, I carry most of my weight in my butt/thighs.
