I don’t usually write reviews, but I wanted to warn everyone not to size based on Amazon suggestion . These are old school, no stretch Levi’s . I normally wear a 2 or 4, xs or s. I sized up to a 4 based on Amazon’s suggestion, and they fit a little roomy. Since they’re original fabric, I’m a little concerned that they’ll stretch out through the day. I’ll update on that after I wear them. I’m fairly straight figured and don’t have a tiny waist compared to my hips, but the waist was roomy too. If you have an hourglass shape, the waist may gap. Update—these hold shape really well and don’t stretch or sag throughout the day. I can get 2-3 wears between washings. I’m actually glad I got the 4 rather than the 2. They are comfortable from the time I take them out of the dryer to next wash.

Perfect, comfortable, not too tight. I’m 5’5” about 150lbs. I ordered a 33 and they are a little loose, but very comfortable. I have a hard time finding shorts that are short, but not having my butt hang out. These are perfect! Highly recommend!

So let me preface this by saying these are the CUTEST shorts. As advertised they do run small, I wear a 27 pretty much across the board and have multiple pairs in that size, but they are very fitted and very cheeky. These were a good deal, so I sized up to a 28 hoping for a little more booty coverage. There is slightly more coverage, and the waist is looser so a slightly more comfortable fit, but I think I like the way the 27’s look better so I may end up returning. Now to be clear, I use comfortable very loosely because these are not comfortable shorts in either size. They are very short and tend to ride up, which is great if you’re looking for a cheeky fit. Sitting down they are downright uncomfortable, there is zero stretch and the cut into your crotch. Sizing up did not really fix this issue. The cuteness makes it worth it though, so I just don’t wear them when I know I’m going to be doing a lot of sitting. Of note, the strings in the distressing do rip in the wash, so I wash on gentle and do not dry or you end up with just a mess of strings (known from past experience). If you’re going for looks, it doesn’t get cuter than this. If comfort and the convenience of just tossing in the wash and drying is your thing, keep shopping.

These look amazing on. The picture doesn’t do it justice. The denim color is super pretty in person. We had to return the folkiest pair because my daughter used a vintage pair of Levi shorts as her size guide, but these were too small when using her other lievi’s for reference- but not a problem- easily returned for the next size and love them.

Ordered these shorts based off size chart and measuring myself with a cloth tape. Arrived and did not fit - could only button two of the multitude of buttons (there is no zipper and the buttons go to near literal crotch territory). Ordered a size up. Those fit very snug on my butt and slightly snug on my thighs, but there is extra room in the waist. It could be a very harrowing day indeed if I even wanted to squeeze my phone in one of the pockets, which is a shame because the pockets are all decently sized/deep. Then I sat down… I have to pull the legs of the shorts up so they are not even touching my legs or else the lack of elasticity and tightness of the shorts on the thighs would probably at best bruise my thighs and at worst split the pants in half. However, the material feels like it’s decent quality, the note of no elasticity wasn’t a complaint, I prefer this. But if a company’s product isn’t going to match their size chart and doesn’t have the wiggle room from a little stretch, it makes the product a lot less appealing or a likely “go to.” The shorts are still comfy when standing, but near impossible to sit in comfortably.

These are perfect jean shorts for my teen daughter. They are comfortable, the color is exactly as shown, the denim is thick and not overly stretchy, and the material is great quality denim. Would definitely purchase these in more colors.

I recently purchased the Levi's Women's 501 Original Shorts and couldn't be more pleased with my decision. These shorts are incredibly comfortable. The denim has just the right amount of stretch, which allows for ease of movement without sacrificing the classic denim feel. The high-waisted design is spot on. It accentuates the waist and provides a flattering silhouette. I followed someone else's advice and sized up, and I'm glad I did because the fit is just right.
