Let me begin by saying that as someone who has been self-conscious about my legs, I have not worn shorts in at least 15 years (I know, ridiculous, but I'm working on that). It's hot as heck here in FL and figured I needed to get some shorts. I ordered various styles and returned them all...except this one. I am 5'3" and weigh 152 lbs. with big hips and big and not so toned thighs. I ordered these in 30, 31, 32. The 32 fit just right. There is no stretch to this heavy fabric and they felt tight at first, but loosened up a little. They are super forgiving in waist and hip areas since they are higher waisted. The opening to the thighs is ample allowing my thunder thighs to move comfortably. I've washed them twice and though I feared they had shrunk a little, they did loosen up. The crotch area is a little odd as it is high (also causing the shorts to ride up in a little in the bum), but nothing uncomfortable. The length is perfect as it hides my insecurities about my thighs. I am considering ordering in a darker wash and hope that they fit the same (if not better than the first pair). I originally thought the button fly was going to be problematic, but it's been easy to use. I am very happy with my shorts! Wish they were a tad less expensive.

These jean shorts are the perfect rise and length for me which makes me feel comfortable. My thighs are pretty big so I always feel weird about them just spilling out with shorter shorts but these cover them. Makes my thigh less sweaty too. The rise while high, doesn’t super exaggerate my lower belly area the way some high rises tend to do. I think the sturdiness of the denim plus being reinforced with a button fly closure instead of zipper really helps to hold everything in. Love the look and thickness of the fabric. It is 100% cotton so there’s no stretch. It fits quite snug when I put it on but it does loosen up a bit later on. The only minor issue is that the band starts to fold over when I don’t wear it with a belt and it leaves a little bit of a gap. Other than that, it’s one of my favorite pairs of Levi’s and the only shorts I’ll wear for the summer! If I can find this exact pair in black, i’d be pretty happy **SIZING: I went by the measurement of my hips to choose the size on the chart. In some of the other Levi's jeans that have elastane in them, i'm a 31 or 32 because they more stretch, and as I've mentioned before, these are 100% cotton so they do not have any stretch. I wouldn't recommend these for more curvier folks with a smaller waist or else you'll have that gapping around at the waist.

These are great shorts, so comfy while still fitting great and looking good. They hit at the exact right place on the thigh. However you may need to size up. I own quite a few pairs of Levi’s both the 501 jeans and wedgie jeans and they are all size 26, so of course I ordered a 26 in these shorts and they were way too snug. I needed to exchange for a 27. Not sure why these would fit so different from all my others but that’s the way it is. Other than that I love these!

I bought these because I wanted a longer pair shorts for the summer. I have a pair of full-length Levi's 501 jeans, so I just got the same size and they fit perfectly (I am 5'9" and wear a small or medium in most bottoms, and I got a size 26 in these shorts). They are not super stretchy, and are definitely are more fitted on the thighs for me. I have always loved Levi's jeans and these are no exception. I recommend if you are looking for a longer, fitted jean short.

The iconic red levi's label on the back of these shorts is made out of some kind of paper with red stitching holding it on. Its not anything close to leather. I have not washed the shorts yet but I'm more than sure that the label will be destroyed once i do. other than that, thick material, and comfortable fit. but I do think these are a levi's knock off?

Tried these on and found that it didnt fit great around my waist despite it being the normal size that i order when buying levi jeans. However, im not mad about it because the baggy look is super cute with these. I had some button pins laying around so I just pinned one further away from the button to tighten them. Although a belt or even a saftey pin would do the job just fine. Speaking of the button front though, these do take forever to put on and take off like most 501 jeans :/

I purchased these shorts 10 months postpartum for a trip. I was looking for “mom” shorts that were still flattering. These are great and true to size! I highly recommend! If you’re on the fence, just get them!!
