This is a very clearly well made journal. I was a bit hesitant on the price at first seeing as you can get standard notebooks for under 5 dollars, but this one is well worth the price. The pages are thick, and work well with fountain pens. There is no bleed through, and I don’t have any trouble writing on both sides of a page since there’s very little shadowing. Each page is numbered, and the dot grid is present, but not too dark so as to distract from the writing. I couldn't decide if it was worth it to get this thicker paper, and I'm so glad I tried it out. Fountain pens don't bleed through, and it's great for sketching and erasing as well. I personally enjoy the feel of regular Leuchtturm notebooks already, but this one feels higher quality and more sturdy. The numbered pages are a great bonus feature as well. ... show more

I use fountain pens almost exclusively and I use this brand and weight for general note taking. They are sturdy reliable and the paper is just right for the ink I use. Numbered pages are appreciated and the variety of cover colors are helpful when I have multiple notebooks going at once. There is another maker that makes an "Art" notebook that has heavier paper which I prefer for sketching and drawing with my pens, but for notes Leuchtturm 120G is the best. Honestly, didn't know what to expect with the quality level but when you get the notebook you can tell that a lot of time, effort, and attention went into every detail. You won't find something like this in typical local stores. I was really looking for a fountain pen friendly notebook that had narrow spaced lines. Most of the good ones were 8mm. Thankfully I saw Leuchtturm and read some reviews. I ended up with the 120gsm. I like the paper a lot. Very fountain pen friendly. A lot of pages. My only negatives are the lines are a little close for my taste, and the printing, (rules, page numbers, and date line) are very, very light. Hard for me to see. I think I'll go back to Rhodia journals.
