I used these gloves for a Colorado trip I did back in November/December. There was a great amount of snow and I was able to pick up snow without the cold or melted ice coming through the glove! I got these to replace my Columbia Omni Heat gloves that didn’t kee my hands warm at all in the freezing and windy Chicago winter. I wish I would have gotten them sooner! These are perfect for very cold days, for playing in the snow, waiting outside for public transit, the list goes on. My old gloves would not block wind very well, and these have been the perfect replacement. I LOVE the strap that makes these adjustable to fit over a thick coat. Once tightened they really do keep the warmth in. I also like the silicone grip on these because it helps eliminate any slipping when grabbing railings, doors, phones, etc. I don’t bike in the winter so I won’t be able to test that out, but I have no doubts that these would help grip handlebars. I got a size medium and I would say I have average size women hands, and these fit as expected. As far as screen compatibility, I have to say these gloves work better than ANY other touch screen glove I’ve worn. Even my old Columbia ones that were more expensive than these did not work nearly as well. I’d say I am able to use my screen nearly perfectly, probably 95% of the time there’s no issue, just a few times I’ve tried to scroll it took a few extra swipes. I did not remove a star for those few times though, because I’m pretty confident that those delays were result of the screen having some moisture on it from snow falling. Overall, well worth the price. I don’t imagine I will need to buy another pair of winter gloves for many years, but when I do I would definitely purchase these again. ... show more

Black - Large These can be considered gender neutral gloves but I think they are bit manly in appearance. They are adjustable so they can provide a tighter fit but I got the large because I have long fingers. I found that the finger length was a bit short for me but they are comfortable to wear - insulated with a lining. I felt the best feature is that they have cuffs which you can tuck into your jacket and prevent your wrists from being exposed to the elements. The gloves are supposed to be touch sensitive so that you can operate your phone while the gloves are on but this is a hit or miss. If you angle the glove tip (on your pointer finger) in a very specific way, you can get the phone to respond but more often than not, I found myself slapping my phone multiple times to get it to work. You might be able to open an app on your phone but don't expect the precision of being able to play Candy Crush in the wintry outdoors! ... show more

Packaging: Size / Waste appropriate , sufficient protection for contents. Product as Described: Yes, all identifiers (part no. , size / color etc.) match. Arrived in new condition, no visible damage or defects. Notable documentation highlights: Water warning on inner packaging (see pic) ; Original product label under existing label reads “Winter Ski Glove Mountain” in Chinese (see pics) Interesting Feature: Tiny plastic clip to attach gloves together, presumably to prevent them being lost / separated. Quick release latch seems easier to use than standard hook clip. Size / Fit: Ordered Large (largest size). Surprisingly comfortable fit. I’m 6’3” and 235 lbs, so was leery of having no XL offered, but these were absolutely right sized. Features and Functionality: Getting right to the point of gloves - do they keep your hands warm in cold conditions? It’s early November, so we’re not in full winter mode yet. So I used our simulator to reproduce a freezing environment (see pic). I can happily report absolutely no sensation of cold after holding the Ice Cream for several minutes. We are no strangers to subzero days here, and I’m pretty confident these would rival any top-tier gloves on store shelves for comfort and warmth. The “electronic devices” claim was next. The index finger on both gloves (nice, ambidextrous!) is marked with the universal “power on” symbol, indicating that’s what you use to swipe screens with. Sure enough, I used an iPad for testing and was able to tap icons, swipe to change apps / screens and do most basic tasks. Don’t get me wrong, you won’t be substituting your gloved index finger for your Apple Pencil any time soon, but for the more plausible scenario that you need to send an emergency text without taking off your gloves, I feel like you could do that for sure. Tags: One tag shows Thinsulate (tm) certification, and another gives Fiber and materials percentage breakdown (see pics). Summary: These gloves are sturdy, comfortable, and have an excellent fit and construction details. They are functional with electronic devices as claimed, and offer exceptional insulation from cold.
