This is likely the best Leo Jaymz yet. Unlike the previous models the Chameleon finish is amazing and ultra glossy. The Humbucker and single coil sized neck humbucker are the best configuration in terms of looks and they sound good too (this is obviously subjective). The neck is a very thin C shape and the frets at not the usual rounded ball end. I’m not sure they are even stainless but they are even and mine were finished well. I live in an ultra dry climate so I needed to address some small fret end stuff but they would have been fine for 90% of folks. ( I’m insanely picky about fret work) I think these frets are actually glued in ( thank goodness) Push pull coil split is nice but I seldom use this feature. The Trem works well but it is the weak point of the guitar and will eventually give you problems if you play regularly and use the trem often. I swapped mine. Some folks have noted the 17th fret Roman numeral is wrong. It is indeed wrong but it doesn’t bother me like it does some folks. Overall an amazing guitar that looks good, plays good and sounds good. Buy one.

I bought this guitar a couple weeks ago as something cheap to play. I'm my past I have owned ESP, Ibanez, EVH Wolfgang guitars. I have been playing for a very long time. And I have to say, straight out of the box, this guitar has amazing quality and playability. Usually when I buy a guitar I like to do the intonation and set it up to the way I like it. When I received this guitar, it needed no intonation. This guitar is extremely high quality for it's price point. The only thing I'm going to change is the bridge pickup because of my style of playing. I highly recommend this guitar.

After being so impressed by the Leo Jaymz "Monsoon", I decided to purchase the new "Tsunami". As a rock/metal player it had all the features I look for in a guitar. After playing it for a couple of days I think this guitar is awesome! For a rock/metal/shred guitar it's great like it is, no upgrades needed. The alnico pickups are hot and sound great, with the bridge pickup measuring 13.4K resistance and the bridge pickup (rail humbucker) measuring 14.2K. Their sound is well balanced and there's a coil tap on the tone knob to split the coil on the bridge pickup. It stays in tune well and most importantly, the neck and fretwork are great. The neck was perfectly straight out of the box and didn't require any truss rod adjustment. The frets are level and smooth with no dead spots. Overall a well made guitar that feels and plays like a guitar at a much higher price point. Cons: -There are 2 small cracks at the neck joint. However, they appear to be only minor cosmetic issues. -As mentioned in other reviews, the Roman numeral is wrong on the 17th fret. I think this is kinda funny. -While the neck and fretwork is very good, there is some slight fret sprout on the edges. Given the Monsoon came with stainless steel ball end frets, which are amazing, I was hoping the Tsunami would have them as well. That said, I still give the neck 4 out of 5 stars as well as the guitar overall. Is it perfect? No. But it is an awesome guitar straight out of the box. If this guitar said Ibanez or Jackson on the headstock it would easily cost $700-$800.

As someone who started playing guitar back in the 80's, I'm continually amazed at how good inexpensive guitars are today, and they seem to be continuing to improve. This is a stellar example. The finish on this guitar is better than on some of my guitars costing 10 times more. It's uniform and glossy with no hint of orange peel or runs and the clear coat is buffed out perfectly. The neck relief was set correctly out of the box and the intonation was very close. The frets are nicely polished with ends that are just slightly rough, not sharp like most guitars in this price range. The rosewood fretboard looks nice, and the roman numeral inlays have been fixed (a previous iteration had wrong numbers). The changeability of this metallic paint is amazing. I have a couple of other "chameleon" guitars and the color doesn't change at all, or very subtly. But this one changes easily as the light plays over the contoured top. It looks and feels like a high-end guitar until you get to the hardware. Obviously compromised must be made to hit this price range. The tuners work fine but look a bit cheap. Same with the Floyd Rose bridge. It does the job, and was even balanced out of the box, but I'd replace it with a Gotoh before gigging this guitar. The pickups are actually fine, with a beautiful, clear mini humbucker in the neck and a hot bridge pickup that is perfect for metal. This is a great guitar that can be upgraded over time as your needs change.

Beautiful finish aside. This guitar surprised me with everything from the ease of setup and playability. Not having a Floyd Rose didn’t matter. I can’t whammy this thing out of tune. I saw a lot of people say the 17th fret markers were wrong, mine were not. When I plug it into my rig it sounds better than most high end guitars I own. I did notice the frets in the upper register were a little sharp so I filed them down a little didn’t take much effort to make them right. Glad I gave this guitar a chance it was well worth it.

I’ve been hearing a lot about these Leo Jaymz guitars lately and have even watched an interview with the founder of the company. I didn’t know if I should believe the hype on YouTube, but I took a chance and ordered one. Let me say this: I won’t even bother with the lengthy review I could write, because I’d be here all day praising this guitar. Suffice it to say that this is truly a better guitar than my $1000 EVH Wolfgang. NO LIE. Yes, I tuned it and adjusted the action when I got it out of the box, but you would do that with any guitar. I didn’t really need to adjust the action; it was just a personal preference thing. This guitar is everything you’d want in a heavy metal shredder!! The sound quality is great through my Boss Katana 212 and it stays in tune. I’ve been playing for 30 years off and on, and I will say this guitar is one of the absolute best I’ve played. Don’t let the price fool you and order yours today. You’ll be ripping through Van Halen, Crüe and Ratt with style and ease! I wasn’t paid or compensated for this review.

This is an amazing guitar and value. The fit and finish out of the box are excellent, the frets need just a little polishing but otherwise it’s on par if not better than the American brands that I own.

Not terrible but you kinda get what you say for i returned mine as there was a Crack next to the heel joint and the fret ends were sharp and the neck pick up wasn't grounded properly so back ot went
