I have no intention of setting up service for calls/texts but there are apps to download where they can call/text on wifi if the other people download the app as well. This little phone is full it surprises. First the good. 1. Even though it's advertised as a 4g phone, I was able to pick up a 5g signal (when I did get a signal (More on that latter) 2. It's not listed, but there is a fingerprint scanner under the screen. That was a pleasant surprise. 3. Performance is not half bad after you uninstall the preinstalled Facebook, Whatsapp, Twitter, etc. 4. I enjoyed the small form factor, but typing was a little difficult 5. Even though I didn't keep it long, battery life seemed pretty good. I didn't have metrics as I never fully moved over to this phone. The bad 1. The biggest problem I had was that in most places, it would only pick up a 2g signal. I tried 2 different T-Mobile MVNOs (in a couple of spots I got 5g... Strange, but I could not figure it out. This was a deal breaker for me, so I returned it). 2. To difficult to type on 3. It's Android 10, so no gesture navigation All in all, if I was able to get a consistent data connection, I would have kept it. ... show more
