I have a lot of very expensive knives, primarily Henckel, but I received these as a gift along with the matching desserts plates. My husband bought ours at Macy’s, and paid nearly $65 for the set, still very cheap for good knives. At that price I wasn’t expecting much but, hands-down these are my favorite knives ever! They’re extremely sharp, hold an edge well, are easy to re-sharpen, and they cut everything from roasts to strawberries. The design has not come off after six years, although I do make sure I wash these by hand. These are pretty but I have not actually used them yet. It's something I ordered almost a year ago but is still in the box so I can't say if they are useful or not. They are pretty but handwash only, I thought I'd use them to cut Cake or other food at the table but have not.
