Tired of looking for scissors or using your kitchen knives to open your Amazon Packages? I've had this knife for about 6 years now and it's my favorite knife to use so far. If you're looking for a high-quality, sturdy knife this is for you. Milwaukee is on the high tier list for construction tools and this knife is part of that pool. Comes with storage for 3 extra blades (not included). I think my favorite part of the blade is that the full metal body - you just engage the metal button slightly flick your wrist and the blade is ready to go and it works everytime. There's no plastic slider that'll wear your thumbs, or any parts you think will wear out. It's solid. The blades are so easy to replace and make it so easy to just remove and use the other side of the blade for. And retracting the blade is as easy as opening the blade, no need to use two hands and try to hit a button to disengage the lock on the blade, which I hated with other EDC knives, although they look better, it's not as functional. ALSO, if you're just cutting up cord or wire / tape, there's a safe exposed portion of the body where you can just run the metal case and cut without having to open the knife which is super handy as well. I carry this on the construction jobsite as well as their magnetic tape measurer all day and it's so handy. The pocket / belt clip never snags and isn't too tight and hasn't worn out or bent - I've had to tighten it with a phillips head every so often but it's also nice that you can bend the metal to increase or decrease the tension if your belt is too thick or whatever you're securing it to. Highly recommended for opening up boxes, cutting wraps, cords, wires, working on construction site, working at the back of retail stores, etc. Just buy this knife. ... show more

This Milwaukee Fastback knife has become one of the most-used tools in my kit. I’ve used it for everything from basic carpentry work around the house to rewiring my headlights and tail lights, and it hasn’t let me down once. The build quality is solid—it feels durable in the hand without being bulky, and the one-handed flip-open design is surprisingly handy when you’re working in tight spaces or up on a ladder. The blade stays secure during use, and swapping it out is super easy, which is important when you’re jumping between cutting insulation, wire jackets, or drywall. Good tool, but the belt clip is in the exactly wrong position. Most photos of this knife don't show this clip. Below are what I did to make this a five star utility knife. I've used utility knives for more than 30+ years. There were three basic types. Fixed blade: only useful for tasks that it is constantly being used, like roofing. Sliders, long break off blades. The long break off blades are useful but always a drag. The blade is never locked in place, or it is and it's a hassle to retract it. All the standard Stanley utility knives that are not dangerous have a screw that has to be removed to replace blades. The ones that offer fast blade changes are terrible. The flipping out the blade on this one, is pretty neat, but only twice if you're over 24 years old, after that it's just an extra step. This extra step can be a bit annoying, unless you've got previous experience with utility knives. The belt clip is a major problem. If you are right handed and clip it onto your belt or tool bag, when you grab it to use it, you have to 1. Turn it end to end, and 2. twist it around. There is a one step move...but I modified my Fastback II. Take a look at the photo. I drilled a pilot hole, then 1/4-20 tapped it. I had a 3/4" screw, two washers. You could probably do a neater job. One washer raises the clip off the side, so it slides on and off my belt. There are two smaller holes where the piano wire pokes into the body of the knife--this keeps the clip in the correct orientation. Here's the hard part: I bent my own piece of 1/6" stainless steel piano wire (because I had it on hand). I cannot figure out why the clip was placed where it is. The way I've changed it not only works great for clipping, unclipping, but even with the larger space between the clip and the body, I have no problem holding the knife for any task. (Picture 1 is the first version. So don't be afraid to drill and try this, you've got at least two attempts) ... show more

I've bought about 8 different box cutters over the last 10 years and they all break within a year. The tiny screws come loose and it starts to fall apart on them. I've been using this for over a year now an it holds strong and I know I can trust it for another few years at least
