The attachment from the laptop base to the screen broke off within 3 months of using the product, absolutely cheap and unacceptable, the mounting is insufficient for a laptop screen and the product should have never made it through the design process in this configuration Lenovo should be ashamed. I will not purchase another Lenovo product again as repeated attempts to contact their customer service yield a response that this type of damage is not covered under warranty... completely unacceptable. ... show more

The laptop has a nice look to it, but lacks a backlighted keyboard. The viewing angle of the screen is really minimal, and visibility is nonexistent in sunlight. I can't speak to the battery performance, as I have only used it plugged in. I got the 1 TB 20GB permutation, believing this might help with performance. Speaking of performance, with anything other than the most basic tasks, this laptop is sllloooowwww. So the first thing I did is get rid of S Mode. Next, I created a dedicated partition (or 4) and made exclusive dedicated swap space for the OS. These 3 steps listed are not common knowledge and might require a bit of research to get right. But I will say even a 2 GB swap is better than leaving in the OS hard drive. I went bigger, of course. I also used another partition for installing apps, and put the system temp directories there as well. This is not for the faint of heart. After all this, I still had major issues running a zoom session for my class with 15 people. It would break up intermittently. And I would be getting 80 ‐ 100Mbps downstream on my connection. But when I opened Google Earth, or worse, Adobe Photoshop (both for class), well, everything would lock up. After a few minutes, apps would finally start working. Somewhat. The short of it is that even with all my performance enhancing tricks, this laptop seems slower than the 15 year old desktop it was to replace. Don't expect to do any real resource intensive stuff in a timely fashion, ESPECIALLY if you have no idea of what the things I mentioned I did are. If you want to browse the web, do email, and maybe basic streaming like your Netflix, then this might be for you. But keep in mind the subpar screen, and integrated graphics. ... show more

Used the laptop for a couple of hours every other day. First problem I had was most of the time I had to plug in the charger repeatedly to get it to charge. Charged it up last night and put it in my laptop bag and today it will not turn on. Plug in the charger and nothing. I could have flushed several hundred dollars down the toilet and been just as satisfied as I am with this purchase. It lasted 5 months. I will never buy anything from this company again at any price. Worst piece of garbage I've ever bought from Amazon! ... show more

The reason I'm giving this 3 stars is that I expected to get this laptop as stated in the description. Whether it's Amazon or Lenovo, there's no free Office 365. I spoke to Amazon they referred me to Lenovo, I spoke to Lenovo they referred me to Microsoft, and this was getting no where. Besides that the laptop is fast and it works great. However I am very disappointed that they're advertising something that's not there.... THERE'S NO FREE OFFICE 365, SO CHANGE YOUR DESCRIPTION PLEASE ... show more

Have had this computer for maybe 8 months and the hinge on the left side somehow broke and now when I try to close and open it, it pulls the trim around the screen. This was not any fault if mine, just kinda cheap.

I wound up return this laptop. The processor could not keep up with simple tasks. All I use my laptop for is web surfing and YouTube. The processor ran at 100% almost all the time and was always running updates. After a few days of this I said no more and sent it back. Sorry Lenovo it just didn’t work for me. ... show more
