I purchased and tried this wetsuit as well as an Oneil option that was $90. I was glad I was able to compare them. This wetsuit is constructed in a way that it is much less flexible. This requires that you purchase a larger size than the specs, so that you get better movement. Unfortunately it also creates gaps, etc. While the Oneil was quite a bit more, it was money well spent because the both the fabric itself, as well as the way the seams were laid out provided much greater comfort and flexibility. You can wear the proper size, where there are no gaps, and still have freedom of movement. I still think this would be a good option for someone who has very limited needs, or only needs it once or rarely. I am sure it insulates, and seems like it will hold up over time. ... show more

    • Sizing is so far off it's not even funny

In every day clothes I wear a size 2 or 4. I bought a size 4 jump suit and couldn't even get it over my hips (I weigh 125 and am 5'7'') I ordered a size 6 next and that didn't fit either. I just had to buy a size 8 and 10 and hopefully one of those fit, this is ridiculous.

Fitting took a bit of extra effort, but there was no problem returning original and ordering larger size. Once I got a fit, I used the "Spring" or 3/4 wet suit to continue swimming in an unheated pool even though the water turned colder, as expected, in the fall. The suit makes swimming laps comfortable with water temperatures down to 65 F or a bit lower. However, outside temperature has dropped to 40s and 30s, at least for now, and I have suspended the laps until warmer weather. Note, I also use Vaseline on lower legs and arms which helps the warmth factor quite a bit. ... show more

Haven't been on the water since this arrived as old man winter finally arrived. A shorty suit wouldn't be much benefit to me right now. But I have 'checked it out' for the conditions I am expecting. I kayak, mostly greenwater some white, and being soaked isn't as much of an issue as say, diving or surfing. But evaporative cooling CAN be an issue and that was what I checked. I wore the suit in my shower, cold water only, then went outside and did some work on my yaks in 40° weather with 4-6mph winds. My legs and forearms were chilled, but my torso stayed comfortable. This will work for early spring late fall, but I am going to get a full suit and heavier for when the northwinds are blowing. Fit: this one is partly on me, and partly on society. Tight as heck in arms, shoulders, and crotch, loose in the bum and belly. When I buy my full suit, I will adjust my size to order, but other than that, the fit is fine. FYI, I'm 6'1" 185# and ordered XL. Looking at the measuring system, I will drop a size to tighten up the midrif and the rest shows similar meeasurements, so I should be fine. ... show more

As you can see I was so excited when I got itç that I had to try it on right away. This was Saturday. Today is Monday and I took it for an hour swim this morning. It was so comfortable. It was easy to get into and out of. I felt like I had to do very little work in the pool. The size chart was great and informative. This is the first suit that I have ever bought. The only downfall was my fault. I bought yellow and black snorkel equipment before purchasing this. Even though it doesn't come in yellow Im completely fine with that. I'm ready to get back in the water tomorrow morning. When it's not raining I look forward to going to the lake and really test it out. I am 5'11" 255 lbs and this fits great. If you are a bigger person check out rhis suit. Other companies go to 220 lbs. I'm not saying they are bad. But for us bigger people this suit fits!!!!! ... show more

Received the diving suit, tried it on and it fits, until I have to bend over to reach my feet. I can't barely bend to put my fins. The height is to short. I'm 5'9" bought the X-Large supposedly fit 5'11" to 6'1". I can't find out how to return it for an exchange. Update- I was able to return it and purchased a bigger size.
