The quality is as expected for the price point (under $50 at the time of this review). It's about medium thickness and quality. If you want the best quality, you should go to a surf shop. Size up as this runs small. I got this for my bf for a river rafting trip in the Spring in Colorado. Although I followed the sizing recommendations listed, the suit was way too small, even accounting for the fact that they are supposed to be a tight fit. The suit was cheap, and as such you are getting a "cheap" suit for occasional use when you need a little extra layer doing some kind of water sport. You definitely are not going to want to use this in very cold water, and anyone who is more than a casual water sportsman is not going to be happy with the quality or fit. But, if you just need something that gives you an extra layer on your next water vacation, the price is reasonable. ... show more

I like that this wetsuit comes in a variety of sizes, including the larger ones for us larger folks. The suit fits fairly well. It's snug in the crotch and shoulders when dry, but that usually mellows out in the water. I haven't had the chance to take it to the beach yet due to COVID, but will try to update this review once I have. The seams are all very smooth - I couldn't feel any of the interior ones when the suit was on. The overlap flap for the back zipper is properly placed and well sized - it covers the entire zipper and its sewn seam. The zipper works smoothly, and the top has a double velcro tab to secure the zipper and the neck. The neck doesn't fit very snugly, but it doesn't pinch either. I would additionally plan to let this suit air out for a day or so before wearing it - it had a very strong VOC odor right out of the bag, but that dissipates as neoprene odors typically do, within 24 hours. ... show more

I live in the PNW and even in the summer the water is never warm enough for a decent swim. Its COLD. I was happy when I got this wetsuit thinking it would permanently solve the problem, but in reality it only helps as much as it can. This isn't very hard to put on, in my case it fits really well. Has some off-gas when you first open it, just letting it sit in the sun for an hour or two takes care of it. I would say it brings the cold down to 70%. I'm still cold in the water, more than I would have liked. So I'd say it does an average job. ... show more

I like playing in the Pacific Ocean and sometimes this can get a little cold. I was looking for something that might combat this and low and behold, I was given the chance to try this out. I am taller and normally built so I got the xl. At 6'0 tall this fit me perfectly. It is a little snug here and there when you put it on but once you hit the water this all goes away. This is easy to put on. Follow the instructions and you will do fine. This suit does keep you warm. I am able to stay in the water longer and look at more things. I snorkel so and my snorkeling experiences have gone up a lot since I have begun wearing this suit. I dont have to rush out of the water anymore when I start getting cold because I dont. This is a good beginners wetsuit. It is something that you buy to check and see if you want to go further. For me, this is the suit I needed. I am not rough on it and just use it to keep the cold out. If you are looking for a nice, decent priced wetsuit you could do a lot worse then this one. ... show more

Would advise being more liberal with the sizing decision, upsizing a notch would work well.
