  • 5/5
Really awesome set to build! It’s bigger than I expected, and it’s packed with detail. Took me about 4 hours; the set looks great and has a couple of nice features. The only thing I don’t like is the flimsy display stand. I’d recommend this set as it’s a nice addition to any Lego Star Wars collection :) ... show more

  • Fantastic set, but Missing a whole bag of Parts.
I have a lot of Lego sets. I love this one, but a very rare thing for me. A whole bag of parts is missing. Bag 12 the engines. I can see how this happened. I have two bag 2. One was mistaken for 12. I contacted Lego first. They should send me bag 12. Amazon would make good, but I hate to send the whole set back. The is a UCS set. Lego dropped the ball here, not Amazon. That is why the 5 stars. I never down a company for something that is not their fault. It came in a factory Lego box, and was factory sealed. Lego will fix this. Update, called Lego, they apologized, and will send me bag 12. ... show more

  • A Dream of Mine
As a kid, I've always wanted this set ever since the first edition came out in 2003. Seeing that it was revamped recently, I began to yearn for it. I pulled the trigger, bought it, and built it in about 7 hours. I haven't touched a Lego piece in almost 12 years; it was very nostalgic. The model itself seems to be a much better representation of the Snowspeeder as opposed to the older edition. Holds together well, and pieces clicked in during crucial parts of the building. ... show more

  • Awesome
I spent a week putting it together (after work so i sit for just 1 hour or 2 a day), my 3 year old daughter helped me out. Awesome to bond with family or if you want to take it as a challenge.

  • A LEGO model that is a little flimsy for the price
I have purchased a number of these LEGO Star Wars ships over the years, and the snowspeeder has always been my favorite from the original trilogy. I realize that this item is no longer sold by LEGO, so the price has increased dramatically since its official discontinuation. Even so, I decided to take the $700 plunge. The ship itself goes together rather easily. However, there are two major problems with the design. The first is that some of the major pieces have not been designed stay together firmly when even slightly moving the ship for additional construction. As a result, I found that when I was turning the ship around to inspect it for accuracy, side wings, etc. fell off of the model even though they have been firmly snapped in place per the instructions. The second problem is the stand for the ship. It is awkwardly designed to allow for easy removal of the ship for play (I assume) and is very rickety. As a result, the stand will not support the weight of ship at all. I found the stand tipping forward or sideways because the weight of the ship will not distribute evenly over the stand itself because the stand is so flimsy. Overall, this is definitely not the best model I have purchased and put together. ... show more
