  • Great activity book!
Format: Paperback
This activity book is great for Lego loving kids, and can help to spark their imagination. There are a ton of different animals modeled, so kids can get creative and use some of the techniques to create their own, The sticker activities are great for quiet time, and can be done independently. It would benefit from some step-by-step build instructions, but otherwise this is a great activity book. ... show more

  • Excellent activity book for quiet time entertainment
Format: Paperback
This Lego activity book is an excellent resource to have on hand for road trips, plane rides, church activity bags, or rainy days. My kiddo is 8 years old and still gets a kick out of making scenes with the Lego stickers. Speaking of stickers: this activity book has SO MANY STICKERS. You might want to keep an eye on your little ones who prefer to place stickers anywhere but where they belong! The activities in the book are fun and engaging for kids who rely more on structure and instructions, but there’s plenty of space for “free play” and creating scenes with all the stickers. I’d recommend this activity book for around ages 5-8. Technically you need to be able to read the instructions and have well-developed fine motor skills for the more complex activities but even kids as young as 3 will have a good time using this just as a sticker book. *Note: Initially I didn’t realize that some of the activities require actual physical legos! My kiddo has had a great time playing with just the stickers so rest assured that you really don’t have to have physical legos to enjoy it. ... show more

  • Fun Lego ideas and stickers
Format: Paperback
My son has a Lego Classic set and a lot of other random Legos. This animal-themed Lego Ideas Activity Book offers a lot of ideas for how to use them, along with some fun animal facts. It doesn't give directions, but there are a lot of photos of Lego creations for inspiration. Another fun feature is the 12 pages of stickers which can be used to decorate the activity book or for another art project. This would make a good gift for a Lego loving kid. ... show more

  • A fun gift for a younger lego fan
Format: Paperback
This book is great for ages around 7 to 10, depending on the activity. The Lego Ideas Activity book has bright images, glossy pages, and can withstand the unsteadiness of younger hands. Inside there are little fact bubbles about the theme for the page, so there is a hint of learning available as the child goes! Some of the activities like the sticker matching are fine, but the ones that encourage the child to build things to interact with the picture are almost impossible to do without breaking the spine of the book. It's nice having a good sturdy book, but it won't lay flat unless held open with both hands, making it hard to interact with legos at the same time. But, still it is a fun book and a moderately good value. ... show more

  • Lots of fun!
Format: Paperback
My newly twelve year old has gotten way more interested in Legos in the past year, so I got this book for her (she also loves animals!). I was a little worried it might feel too young, but it really doesn't! It has a lot of sticker activities both guided and more free-form/creative. She also is getting ideas from looking at the Lego creations in the book to build herself at home--she's usually very dependent on the specific step by step directions so it's neat to see this increasing her creativity to build without step by step directions. She's been working on it on and off for a few days now and still hasn't used it up, though she will soon. Overall it's a great gift for the kid interested in Legos in your life! ... show more

  • Great for young Lego fans!
Format: Paperback
Review of LEGO Ideas Activity Book Animals: Packed with LEGO Building and Sticker Activities and Fun Facts. With 500+ Stickers! (DK LEGO Ideas Activity Book). My 6 y.o. LOVES this Lego activity and sticker book. She enjoys the games and stickers and looking at the creative creatures built and photographed throughout the book. My only qualm is that I wish there were more directions on HOW to build the creations. We are trying to get her to use her imagination more with Legos and, while she has interest in what she sees on each page, she does not know what pieces are needed and in what order they should be built. Despite this shortfall, I do think this is a fun book for any Lego fan! ... show more

  • Great for introducing Legos in a more approachable way!
Format: Paperback
My little one is obsessed with all things animals, and I've been trying to encourage her to start getting into Legos. I think the small pieces overwhelm her, but I think making them into animal shapes helped her understand all the possibilities a bit more. She LOVED the included stickers as it helped her animal vision come to life. She even got to make some very unconventional animals, and thought it was hilarious. This opened up the Lego world for her in a more approachable way, and I'm really glad I tried this book out. I'm looking at the others in the series as well, as they seem to have some really cool themed ones! ... show more
