Description

Captivate kids ages 7 and up with Asha’s home from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ film, Wish, in this LEGO Disney Asha’s Cottage (43231) construction playset. Inside is a 2-level building with hinged, opening sides, a table with a smiley-face cake, cabinets with a notebook, spoon and fork, and a bedroom upstairs with a bed and fireplace. There’s also a wishing well and loads of other play accessories. Add this LEGO Disney buildable set to others in the series (43223 and 43224, sold separately) to expand the play. As they build, kids get easy and intuitive assistance with the LEGO Builder app. They can zoom in and rotate models in 3D, save sets and track their progress. The set includes 4 characters – Disney Princess dolls Asha, her mom Sakina and her grandpa Sabino and Star – to encourage role play as kids explore the cottage.     • Very clever building that is fun for all ages
My youngest LOVES the Wish movie and has been begging for a LEGO Wish set. Right now there are three on offer, of which this is the middle in price. I haven't built the big one, the Magnifico castle, but this cottage has to be the best value. You get three minidolls -- and star. My daughters of course love having Asha, the main character. But surprisingly to me, they also wanted Asha's mom and grandfather, Saba Sakino. Those are the other two minidolls that come with the set. You will have to get the other set to get Valentino, the talking donkey. The set has one side build, a very nice 'wishing' well that would be easy to include in a lot of LEGO scenes, either fantasy, city, or medieval. But the real star is the cottage, which is so darn cleverly built! It's a 7+ recommended but I think my 6 year old could have done it, if she wasn't too busy playing with her 4-year-old sister and the minidolls. Both of them were attuned that this is Asha's house. (The cheaper Wish set is a building from the city of Rosas and not where Asha lives, dad.) I love all the Moorish-inflected architecture in Wish and this set to me does a spectacular job of capturing it in LEGO. The way you get that rounded cottage look with some simple angling and clever parts usage is really cool and made for fun build for me, an experienced LEGO guy. I don't personally care for stickers but that is the highlight of building for my 6-year-old. She got jealous when I let her little sister do one of them, haha. I love the new thatched roof hay pieces in this model. You get a fairly generous amount and variety. There are also lots of little details inside the cottage of course. Kitchen with pan and teapot, drawer with LEGO fork and spoon, a little bedroom in the roof, cool fireplace stack upstairs and downstairs, a book (with printed elements!) and more. OVERALL The whole family loved this set. It was bigger than I expected for the price. You wouldn't have to know the Wish movie to enjoy it, it's just an nice charming build. ... show more

It's not often where I see a lego set with beautiful dark and saturated colors. Especially the "girly" sets. Directions were easy and did not disappoint. Always very clear. Only thing I did notice is that there was more than usual speciality parts. i wish that Lego will start making their sets with more universal parts so that children can use it in different form. But overall, such a cute set! I am not done yet but I am excited to finish. ... show more

This Lego set is excellent. The attention to detail is incredible on Legos now. The kids had a blast putting it together and it was not difficult. The set it big but not over the top. East to follow instructions included.

This is a great LEGO set - it comes with 4 bags and an instruction book as well as a breaker piece (to help correct any mistakenly connected pieces). The steps are easy to follow with typically no more than a couple pieces per step. The color illustrations and large images make putting this together relatively simple. While this is rated 7+, my younger child had no trouble doing this by themselves, although experienced with LEGO sets. I would suggest that it would work for 5+ kids who are already familiar with the LEGO system. Child expressed loving it all with only the tree as a trouble spot (it clicks into the bottom and needed adult help to get it to snap in). The end result is a house that is fun for play as well. While we haven't seen the movie (since it is not out yet), the key characters from the previews are present, including the adorable star who has a clear stand to make it look as though it is floating. The house has a bedroom with a few props, a kitchen-type area including a pan, teapot, and silverware, and a dining room. With the house opening up for easier access, this makes for a lot of fun play. Overall, this is a great new set from LEGO and will definitely get a lot of play! ... show more

This is a LEGO set, so we all know that the pieces will cutch properly and that usually there are no pieces missing. The thing that surprised me about this set is that it actually came with a brick separator! That is usually reserved for sets a little bigger than this one. This really is a cute set with a few pieces that are unique. The instructions are clear and kids shouldn't have a problem following them. Nice little set! ... show more

    • Perfect for Disney and LEGO lovers
This was such a fun build for my oldest two boys. They are five and seven and had a blast working through the various steps (that’s half the fun of LEGO is the build). My five year old loved the fireplace. The pieces came together nicely and the house on the sides rotates in and out to get to the side rooms better. I also personally thought the star was adorable. A good price point for LEGO with a nice set of new mini figs and a cool house setup. Definitely recommend! ... show more
