I really like these shorts. They are very comfortable. They black is mostly cotton with a bit of spandex. They are great for curvy gals. They don't feel tight in the hips, thighs or bottom. Overall great shorts.

I have a pair of relaxed fit denim bermuda shorts from another manufacturer that I dearly love that I have worn out beyond repair. That manufacturer no longer makes that short. So, I thought I would try these. Note that when I ordered the shorts, I was wearing a pair of non-denim Lee relaxed fit shorts in size 12 and love the relaxed fit. So, I ordered a size 12 in these. They fit fine, but they are stretchy and meant to fit your curves, sort of like you'd expect a pair of jeans to fit and not a pair of shorts billing itself as "relaxed fit". I was going for a looser fit. So, I exchanged them for a size 14, and am very sad to report that the next size up was baggy in the waist but, the stretchiness in the shorts still made them not nearly relaxed enough for my tastes and nowhere near as relaxed as the size 12s I was wearing by Lee at the time I ordered this product. The shorts I was wearing I purchased back in 2021. I can't tell if the stretchiness in the jeans or a change in the cut of the product is causing such a dramatic change in the fit. But, when I dropped of the return at Kohl's, I got a coupon which I used towards a pair of denim relaxed fit bermuda shorts that I like much better (Levis). ... show more

These shorts are comfortable and flattering with just enough stretch for comfort, but not so much that they they seem like nothing but elastic. I do not like blue jeans shorts that have no integrity, only stretch like a piece of elastic, losing shape and cutting down on longevity. These are perfect, true blue jeans shorts but with just enough stretch. The colors are nice ( I bought all the colors), and the length is just what I was looking for, a true Bermuda blue jean short.
