  • I can use them as personal lights clipped to my shirt while baiting my hook in the dark
I really like that I have a backup light system for when I am anchored and not using my boats battery. Very easy to clip on or use elsewhere, like after docking and getting ready to load on trailer. Great no hands light, put it where ya need it without blinding anyone. Really easy to charge. Love the various uses plus works as intended. I have a 14 ft aluminum fishing boat. Very happy with the purchase ... show more

  • Great for evening paddles
These lights are small, compact, and bright enough. I like to kayak and one of my favorite paddles is setting out on our local lake to view the sunset and moon rise. These small fixtures are easy to install and are visible for long distances. I tested that charge and they lasted about 4 hours on high beam, plenty of capacity for an evening paddle. A big plus for me is that they are rechargeable. ... show more

  • Only one way to mount
So I wanted to attach these light to my kayak, but the way they are made they are set up for mounting on a round bar. I have a pull handle on the front of the kayak, but I don't want to have to put them on and take them off every time I use the kayak. They do however mount well on a bike seat post, or handle bar. The lights have four patterns and can be used for bike warning lights. The access to the charging port doesn't have a flap or anything to grab to pull it out and on a couple of the lights I had to use my knife to pry out the rubber plug. The manufacturer included four very short charging cables, so when you are charging the light it hangs from the outlet. I would have rather had one longer cord. ... show more

  • Bright, rechargeable LED lights - good for rail mounting
I ordered these with two possible uses in mind: 1) To serve as navigation lights on a kayak / aquapod for in-the-dark use when fishing or traveling to hunt. 2) Back-up nav lights for vessels with existing integrated lighting in the event that a bulb burns out while I'm on a trip. The good: They are bright and (I believe) exceed the coast guard standards for visibility to qualify as navigation lights. They are lightweight and on boats with rails in the bow/stern will be easy to mount and deploy due to the included rubber strap / hook mount system. They are rechargeable. Indifferent: They have different modes that include flashing and blinking, which may be useful for certain applications, but not when used for the navigation light function. The blinking red light could be useful if mounted to the stem of a bike seat. Negatives: The mount system does not adapt to a smooth surface - to use these out of the box, you need something to strap the light to (and it seems that a rail is what the manufacturer had in mind). It will take some Macguyvering to use these on the bow and/or stern of a kayak. ... show more

  • An easy "A+." Small pontoon on an all-electric lake needed something for after-dark. PERFECT.
It is as simple as the headline. It is a private lake with a total of 32 berths. Folks do what they want, but having no lights at all has seemed a bit over the line once or twice. We have a simple pontoon pulled around with a small trolling motor. I did not want to be drilling holes, pulling wire, mounting switches (where?) etc. just to mount a few lights I wasn't all that committed to anyway. I was not real sure what I was looking for when I found these, but these are definitely it. We have run them for about 3-4 hours at a time. If it turns out they can't go much beyond that, I will just buy a second set & take both. At this price for the utility, it is an easy call. A+ for my needs. Easy call. P.S. It came with a whistle (we have no horn, so okay), and a roll of electrical tape (absolutely no idea why). ... show more

  • Bright lights
I rigged these lights up to use on my boat and they're great so far. I like that they're rechargeable, but I don't know what the battery life is like yet. I'm concerned about how waterproof they are, they are going to live outside in the rain so we will see.

  • Decent Lights, Whistles are a Joke
I got these lights to put on our bass raider boat and they work fine, but it's a little annoying to have to go to each light and turn it on individually. The self stick is holding up well, but I expect it to turn loose after a few weeks of blazing heat and soaking rain. The whistles cannot be heard 50 feet away, no matter how hard we blow into them, so they have become cat toys. These lights are more for inflatable boats; they will work close to our dock, but only until I get better lights and install them. ... show more

  • bright
The media could not be loaded. I got these to mount on an inflatable dinghy for short nighttime trips to shore. The kit contains two white stern lights, which still has me puzzled, since regulations call for only one. But that light is supposed to have 360 degree visibility (and these aren't designed for that) so maybe they figure you'll mount them back-to-back. Anyhow, I found them all to be sufficiently bright for sue on a small vessel, so all good there. Less useful are the flashing light options that come up with each button press. See video. Totally crazy if you're out on the water in view of other boats. Neat boating party trick after a few sundowners maybe but probably you should skip those options. Luckily, the first button press gets you a steady glow which other vessels will appreciate. These are rechargeable with a USB cord (4 separate charging cords are included, which seems excessive but maybe you have 4 empty USB ports on your computer and want to charge them all at once?) The mounts are designed to wrap around railing of about 1 inch diameter, which you'll never find on a kayak or dinghy, but I plan to use some robust sticky velcro for mine. The mount has a swivel function for aiming at the horizon. Mostly I like that these are much smaller/lighter than the set I've been using that take AAA batteries. I only got one whistle, but no worries. I also got a roll of black electrical tape, which was thoughtful. There's a light switch I need to install in the kitchen. At the time if my order these were about 14d which seems like a good buy. Recommended. ... show more
