Just received yesterday and actually surprised really surprised. Price and pulling 300w makes for great price it’s bright. Most LED close to 100$ for 100actual watts pulled so light great purchase BUT I would do away with timer. I’m trying to use my own timer and not working at all so far. I want 15 hours not 12 and when timer shuts lights off they will not come back on without manual help. I have not messed with actual timer made in light and have it turned off but still does not work with my manual timer. Could be I need to investigate more to make work on my manual timer. I will find out today. Update. You cannot use your own timer. It’s 12 hrs are manual run light. Will not work with different timer. I know why they do it. LED lights last much longer if not ran over like 8 hrs then a break. It’s heat even lights with fans built in keep them real cool last much longer. ... show more

An Africa violet that had been alive for several months was not blooming. I was about ready to give up on it. I put it under these lights and it bloomed! The positional lights cover most of the shelves of the corner plant stand. Timer works fine for me. Only issue is I have not been able to open the remote to get a battery installed. Love my grow lights but I desperately need to speak to the supplier. There is no info on box . need a phone number. The remote totally does not work never worked. I don't want to see d my lights back just need additional instructions about the lights.

    • AC Adapter is a fire hazard. Avoid at all costs.

This thing worked fine for 2 years, and then it suddenly shut off for no reason. Minutes later, the AC adapter began to smell like burning electronics. At that point, it was very hot to the touch, releasing a tiny bit of smoke, and had a heat blister forming on the back, so I cut the power and then pulled the AC adapter out of the outlet so it could cool down. I'm very thankful that I was home at the time and close enough to the lamp to smell the smoke before it became an actual fire. Had I not been home, this thing very well could have burned my house down. Considering there are other reviews which mention issues with the AC Adapters, it is clear that these things are a safety hazard, and in my opinion, Amazon should not be selling them. ... show more

While it lasted, it was a great light stand. My violets bloom and grow well, my other house plants do too :). The adjustable "arms" are great and really handy so all of my plants can get light. It is nice that it's dimmable. I am not sure if I will get the same brand though since it really hasn't lasted very long. Also, the control pad isn't made very well, the covering over the on/off button wore off and is kind of cracked and that shouldn't happen just from turning it off and on every day (I don't use the timer). It would be nice if they made it with replaceable lights for when the LEDs go bad. ... show more
