    • I wish they included a dropper
My girlfriend and I decided to grow peppers this year and this is our first year ever doing it. We wanted to ensure success with our seedlings and have been using a few drops every sunday depending on the size of the plants hoping it works. I haven't used this for entire grow season so we'll see how it fairs once we have our first real harvest but overall it seems to be working. My plants are certainly better off than my friends who have decided to take up the same en devour. My issue with this is that it didn't include some sort of eye-dropper. The amount of fertilizer you need various drastically depending on the stage your pepper plants are in. I happened to have droppers of my own that hold 1ml and that works perfectly for us. Obviously a dropper will become less useful once the plants are much larger. Until then we'll have to continue to use my little plastic dropper. Overall i'm excited to see the outcome of our plants thanks to this product. I will come back and determine if I recommend it or not after this grow season but until then, I'd say we're seeing the results and we're happy. ... show more

My papers that u started indoors about a month ago seem to love this fertilizer, they are growing like weeds. Buy u have to be careful and only mix up a half batch at a time or it grows already before I can use it all.

    • Noticable growth
I gave the stuff to some nutrient deficient peppers and there is already noticeable growth and now flower buds coming back. I only gave them the lowest recommended dose too. Was very easy to use. Just measure, mix, and water.

I got this specifically for my Pepper plants seeing the picture on the front of the bottle and seeing it was specifically marketed for peppers. I didn't know about what a 5-1-5 fertilizer meant, so I looked it up. A 5-1-5 fertilizer means that it is balanced and has 5% nitrogen, 1% phosphorus, 5% potassium. Sometimes you see it as NPK ratio instead of the numbers. But that is what the codes mean. When doing further research, this 5-1-5 fertilizer is good for a lot of different garden veggies like broccoli, lettuce, and herbs (and many more), and this 5-1-5 product is no exception ... it does not have anything specific in it that is just for peppers. However... When looking up online to see what is optimal for Peppers I see that it is 10-10-10 or 14-14-14 generally but in early growth you could use a 5-10-10. Online sources varied as to what they thought was best, but none said 5-1-5. It is important to note that using a 5-1-5 won't HURT a pepper, and may do some good... but it won't be an optimal benefit. So if you made the same mistake I made, all is not lost, you can use this for other veggies, but I'd say peppers are not what this product is best for. ... show more

First time trying to overwinter my favorite pepper trees & now in February, I think they all survived through thr winter in greenhouse. Starting in January, I got this liquid pepper fertilizer, and applied accordingly as in the description - 3 to 4 teaspoons(little stronger dose) in every other week. Now as in the pictures, the tree is making new flowers & even some peppers are growing out. The leaves are still little yellowish but hopefully get greener in coming days. Since it's liquid, I don't have to dissolve anything, it mixes in the cold water right away, and I just need to pour right at the trees. I'm happy with the fertilizer so far!!!     • Okay for seedlings
I used this 5-1-5 liquid fertilizer from Leaves and Soul to help along some scotch bonnet seedlings. This nutrient blend did give them a boost, mainly thanks to the nitrogen. Early in their growth, plants need nitrogen for growth of leaves, stem and a strong root system. The NPK ratio here is not enough for mature pepper plants, which are heavy feeders. Another issue for mature peppers (or any fruiting plant) is the low level of phosphorous (the middle number) which is needed to produce an abundant harvest. Nitrogen will grow abundant leaves and stems - which we don't eat on peppers or tomatoes, etc. Another thing to mention is that this fertilizer is not only for peppers. I'm noticing a lot of liquid fertilizer products that specify the plant they are for. But if you read the info on the label, those separate products have the same ingredients and levels. It's best to do some reading and watching to really learn what plants need and when. This is an okay, low phosphorous product that can have its uses - but it's not a very good value. ... show more

    • Tailored to meet the needs of my pepper plants.
This fertilizer is well-packed in a green smoke-colored plastic bottle. It is well-sealed and virtually odorless. It arrived promptly. It has a chemical makeup of 5/1/5 and should cater to the needs of my plants. The proof of its effectiveness will be seen when I harvest I have given this product 3 stars because the only things that appear to be different between the tomato, pepper, melon, zucchini, and cucumber formulas are the pictures on the label and the name of the plant for which the fertilizer is intended. There are no other ingredients mentioned on the label or that I could find on the website that says how the blend in one bottle differentiates from the blend in the other. I sort of have a sick feeling that I have been fooled once again by marketing. We will see in September. ... show more
