Product Care Instructions: Keep the bag well-aired out or in a cloth bag, avoiding long-term enclosure in plastic bags. Overall I'm very impressed with the bag. I was a little disappointed the bag did not have the rustic look, but the company sends you a very detailed Thank You letter about the bag. I just can't say enough good things about this item. I purchased it for my son as a graduation present when he earned his Master's degree. I wanted something that he could enjoy for many years and I believe I have been successful. The product is absolutely beautiful and very well made. I would recommend it to anyone and will likely purchase another one when my daughter graduates. Customer service is A+. When the bag arrived there was a minor problem with the snap on the shoulder strap. I contacted the seller and he immediately replied, confirmed my address, and in a few days I received a replacement part. I would love to give this product and service 6 stars. ... show more

The belts seem quite durable and the bag's bottom is essentially square, allowing it to stand upright when a book and a laptop are placed within the bag. After buying 2 bags before this one and sending them back, this is a absolutely great bag. Made with real leather you can tell they take pride in their product. It feels like the leather from a saddle, what you would expect when purchasing a leather bag. If you are looking for a leather bag don't look anywhere else this is the perfect bag. If you have a large laptop, like larger than 15" then you will need a bigger bag, I fit my laptop and my 15" portable screen in this and still have plenty of space for other items and paperwork. ... show more

I’m late on the review, but still holds true. After LESS than 2 months of regular use, the lining started to fall apart. I could forgive this, but then walking through the airport, the METAL gave way. Metal ring simply broke off. Beautiful bag, lots of compliments. Bummed to have to throw it away. Durability was awful. Bag looks beautiful. However, the strap buckle immediately broke upon putting the EMPTY bag over my shoulder. Very disappointed. I haven’t even gotten to use it once. The stars I added are for the leather part of the bag only.

The bag I a wonderful value. It's stiff still, but it's slowly losening up. The bag is wonderfully made and you can tell whoever made it poured their heart into the bag.

*** UPDATE. I'm adding one more star since the company reached out to me to offer to make things right. Unfortunately I already sent that bag back and made another purchase. Men's Genuine Leather Vintage Laptop Messenger Handmade Briefcase Bag Satchel By Vintage Couture But top marks go the company for the generous offer. thank you. First let me say the case is absolutely beautiful to look at, very heavy and made of solid material. If assembled better this bag would perfect. I so want to give this a 5 star review. it was packaged nicely and super fast shipping. Product was better than described at first glance. However when I unpacked and started to fill the bag with contents of my old briefcase i noticed there is a spot where they missed a whole row of stitching. Upon further inspection, there is fraying at some of the seams, and basically stitching that holds the bag together is just shoddy.
