First off, this isn't Carol, this is her husband. I normally do not leave reviews unless something is so good, or bad that I really believe others need to know. I had a lot of questions about this and finally decided that the only way I was going to get answers was to buy one and see for my self. I wasn't disappointed. I'm a contractor yet I do spend a lot of time in the shop, and I'm very particular, I'm very critical, of my work and the work of others. I wanted a Buffalo hide apron for shop work and was hesitant based on some of the reviews and the cartoonish photo they used to display someone wearing this. 1st, the guys not really wearing it, it's not as small as it looks, 2ndly, yes it IS very stiff, but it fits well and it's not uncomfortable. I have noticed that I can't sit with it on due to its stiffness, however if I remove the belt I kinda can. Also, while this is top grain leather, I don't believe that it's full grain, it's about 1/2 thickness of what I expected. I have other leather pieces around that are literally twice as thick. Having said all that, I still think that's it's more than sufficient and I'm still pleased with the apron. I plan to put some neats foot or mink oil on it and melt it in with a blow dryer. Despite others comments I do believe that will soften the leather. I'll report back later. Over all it seems durable and well made. The pockets on mine are not crazy thin like one gentleman posted. If anything there may be too many pockets, but I don't know that that's a bad thing. So yeah, nice job, I gave it 5 stars.

I thought about returning this apron, but it wasn’t going to be as easy a task as other items I’ve gotten through Amazon, so I’ve just kept it. Not sure this should be listed as a carpentry apron. This is VERY hard leather that is brand new, and it will take A LOT of TIME and effort to break it in. I’ve already tried conditioner twice and it hasn’t made a dent in it. It is like putting on armor, It almost could stand straight up on its own, its that tough. Has the pockets in front, again leather is so hard and stiff it will be awhile before they work right. Can fit a tape measure in them, but it’s so tight it’s difficult when trying to pull it out. Same with pencil pockets. It also seems to run on the small side. Quality seems okay. I’ve noticed a small rivet has already popped out, and one of the buckles seems backward, but it works.

I appreciate the quality and craftsmanship of this product. The seller was wonderful to work with when I had questions about the product. I’m tall and the straps were a big tight for me, but this should work great for most people. I originally purchased this for wood working, particularly at the lathe. When discussing this with seller there is a similar product that has a pocket design that is better suited for lathe work so I ended up purchasing that one instead. For the quality and service this is a good choice especially if you need big pockets. Well worth the price, honestly there are a lot of cheaper options out there but you get what you pay for.

very nice quality... husband uses it as his tool belt / apron, great for woodworking and carrying mulitple tools and / or supplies , spouse is always setting down his drill bits, screws, pencil, etc... weight is appropriate

Gave this as a gift, some assemble required and some extra parts just to confuse you. Seems very heavy duty and meant to last a long time.

This thing is cut proof cause it’s stiff and hard as a piece of wood. Very uncomfortable and hard to manipulate. The buckles are garbage as well and break easily when trying to loosen. I plan to cut it into squares and make a knife handle out of it

Bought for my husband for his birthday, and he loves it! The leather is beautiful, smells amazing, and looks and feels sturdy. He’s using it for woodworking and carpentry projects. He is especially happy about the shoulder pads included with it; he says the fit and distribution of weight is comfortable.
