This product is so cool. I was so excited to get this for my four year old. He’s super into both cars and robots and I thought this would be a fantastic learning opportunity. He loves it and I love watching him focus and work to figure it out. That being said I think it’s better suited for a slightly older kid, he can do the basics and play with it, but needs assistance with it. It’s definitely not something he can do on his own yet, beyond just hitting the basic commands. Also the instructions could be a bit better. I had to read them multiple times myself. I expected that since it was for 4+ that it would either be a bit more intuitive or that the instructions would be more easily understandable for a four year old. However, it’s clearly something he’ll be able to play with for awhile and to grow with some I’m happy I purchased it and would recommend it but for maybe an older kid. ... show more

I bought this for my kids to use together and they are ages nine, eight, and five. They have to use teamwork, and it helps them learn technology without the computer, which I really do like in this technology filled world, but yet they are still kids who play this out side. Easy to learn easy to use only difficulty is with snapping on the different covers for the car is hard for their hands so they require adult assistance. ... show more

The board pieces that have the road on them are warped. So they do not lay flat and therefore the car is unable to drive on them. The whole point of the toy is to program the car to drive on the road! The clip on car pieces are also very cheap. Very much disappointed.

It's a great intro to coding. It is easy to program the cars and even if it isn't done correctly it still works. My son loves that it has 3 car options and that they can easily be switched out.
