I bought these for a 2 year old for some home preschool activities. She only uses them with supervision because of her age, and because I don't want to find them all over the house. I like to turn the lid of the bin upside down on the table and use it as a tray for the bears. It helps her know where she's supposed to keep them so they don't scatter. She hasn't mastered a lot of the activity cards yet, but she loves using the spinner, taking turns, finding a "little yellow bear" or a "medium Blue bear" and collecting them in one of the colored plates that comes with the set. The bears are great for color sorting, size recognition, Counting, taking turns, etc. They're sturdy too, if we can keep them from scattering, the bears themselves should last a lifetime. The activity cards are shiny cardstock, so they'll last a few years if we're gentle with them. ... show more

These are so great! I use them at home with my 3year old daughter. It keeps her busy and thinking for a long time. There are lots and lots of bears (100 I think) in 3 sizes and 6 colors. There's lots of different games and cards to follow along with. Matching and making patterns and thinking strategy. Even when we are not doing My of the activities she loves sitting and playing with the bears and counting/ sorting them. It comes in nice big container to keep it all in with lots of room to spare. This is a great center activity for a classroom or home setting. Kids learn patterns, sorting small and big bears as well as color recognition. Cards are laminated so they will last! You just need to buy cheap bears (small and large) online or educational store!

I was initially hesitant to buy this product because of the price but the puzzles are geared to make kids think. The ability to grasp and predict patterns is an important skill in today's world and this was a great way to introduce it to my 3 year old. She loves it. It is neither too tough nor too easy. My 4 year old really enjoyed playing with the bear counters, and the cards, and figuring out which bears come next in the sequence. The only problem, small that it is, is that I purchased the scales (with the 102 baby bears,) not paying enough attention that these cards have sequences that use the entire "3 Bear Family..." Of course, the baby bears are all the same size, so I made my way back to Amazon's website and purchased the 96(?)-3 Bear Family counters (with the inclusion of Mommy Bear and Daddy Bear...) I was disappointed at first to realize that we couldn't do all of the cards when they arrived, but I am really happy that they do include size differences on the cards. It adds another level for them to grow into. This really encourages her to think, and introduces patterns and sequences in a really nice, fun way. She loves them, and I love that we both get to work together with them. ... show more

I read several reviews for this product before purchasing it. I also researched for hours before purchasing! I heard many complaints about the red and the orange being very similar in color but I totally disagree! Maybe the manufacturer has come in and fix this problem but the bears are amazing! 6 different colors, 3 different sizes! It has everything you need to just grab and go for teaching!
