My first grader was having such a hard time learning to read and was behind kids her age. She loves this pen reader thing. It’s so fun to use and helps so much with the sounding out letters, site words, and reading comprehension. It comes with so many books so she has plenty of practice sounds out long and short vowels. This LeapFrog reader pen is great for children learning to read & easy to use once you get the books downloaded on to the pen. But it was not easy to download the books to the pen. You must have a laptop or computer in order to download the books. You can’t use your phone.

If your little one is struggling to read BUY THIS!!!! It’s an interactive story time where the words are visually on the page and being read to the child aloud. The 10 pack is awesome so they won’t get bored of the same stories and actually have some variety. It’s also fairly small (my son thought the pen part was a thermometer at first lol) so it’s definitely portable.
