I erected this 3'w x 6'l lean-to greenhouse underneath my narrow patio overhange in case of snow & strong winds which we can experience in my area. It is nice, sturdy, & warm (so far) so I can sit in the doorway protected from weather. The steel skeleton isn't as thick as I wanted but the covering is thick & holds the whole thing together nicely. I put this thing together by myself which was fine for the structure but the covering was tough to do by myself. It should be opened up & draped OVER the top using 2 people instead of my method of going back & forth, front to back gradually stretching it over & around the structure. I love the 2 doors plus the extra steel ribs on top for stability & strength. I should have bought a 4' wide but others didn't have the extra ribs. ... show more

    • Great for outdoor cat shelter

We bought this lean-to greenhouse to use as a shelter for our outdoor cat. He's a neighborhood roamer who was left behind when his family moved away and he adopted us. He is afraid of people, loud noises, and dislikes sleeping where he can't see what's going on around him. I read all the reviews before purchasing this greenhouse. This was easy for 2 adults to put up by following the directions. It sits up against the side of our house perfectly. At the bottom perimeter, I pulled the plastic under the metal frame to tighten it and keep the rain and wind from blowing in too badly. We did not tie the greenhouse down, however we do have a lot of large river rocks staggered around the base holding down the plastic and metal frame. It must be tied down if you are not going to weight it down. It is also blocked from wind on one side by a large hydrangea bush. Both the bush and rocks have worked well to keep it from blowing away. It does not feel sturdy enough to be in a super windy area. In the summer, we keep the little window open. It gets closed during fall/winter/spring due to the large amount of rain we get where I live. Water does come in underneath so it does not keep everything 100% dry, but it keeps everything up off the ground or in the center dry. It's been a great place for our cat to hunker down and keep warm in bad weather. We have not had any issues with the zippers, but we're mindful that others have and aren't rough with them. We only had two incidents of the bottom right corner of the frame popping out of the connector after strong wind storms. Easy to reinsert and again used heavy river rocks to hold the frame in place. This greenhouse has already survived one full year and we are entering the second. And some of the plastic rubbed thin or created a small hole at the x under the window against the frame that runs down the center. I simply used 3 pieces of gorilla tape to cover the tears/thin spots and have had no further problems or tears. Inside, the greenhouse holds a full length garden bench (which is covered with towels and blankets for the cat), two small outdoor tables, plant shelf, garden pots, gas fireplace, and I can still walk in with ease. I am 5'2" and my hubby is 5'8" and there is plenty of room for both of us to go inside and sit down. This has been well worth the cost (under $100) to keep our cat warm, dry, and happy for a full year. We have not used this to grow plants or used the included 3-tier shelving. ... show more

Do not purchase this item if you live in an area where the wind blows. I moved to the mountains in Montana. After two weeks, the outside covering was ripped to shreds. The wind isn't as much as we had in Oklahoma, but this thing does not at all stand up to it. I also had it in a protected area from the north wind. I'm extremely disappointed. ... show more

I bought this a couple months ago preparing for a Michigan winter as I wanted to protect my plants from some of the heavy snow and ice we get. It was super easy to assemble, I did it on my own in 15-20 minutes. It’s a good size too! Fit my wooden planter box plus 3 large pots. It worked beautifully- until we got 65 mph winds. It bent some of the poles, but the plastic material held up well. I do plan on buying it again, can’t really fault the insane wind speeds.     • Revolutionized my gardening!

We purchased this to overwinter our citrus trees (lemon & lime) and other various herbs and flowers as they have gotten too large and heavy to carry indoors for the winter. It is now March 26th and I have multiple blossoms on my lime tree already and my lemon tree never lost one single leaf over the winter! I live in South Carolina and we did have some very cold weather this winter so I am now a big fan of this greenhouse! It is easy to set up, the material is very strong and the engineering/design is great. On warmer days, I open the window to allow fresh air and on the colder days, I close it up. I purchased a Govee thermometer to track the temperature inside and whenever it got below 50, I would turn on a little electric heater to keep it above 50 inside the greenhouse. Not sturdy at all. The lengths I had to go to in order to make this stay upright during windy days was absurd. It was easy to put together, but quality isn’t great since it’s made only with plastic and thin metal rods.

The plastic attchments are not sturdy and stretch somewhat. They did not hold the curved bars very well and kept falling. This is a temporary greenhouse for.less colder areas. Doing the job until I find a better solution.
