  • Gutters still are clogged! Didn't stop anything!
Size Name: 5" x 200' Color: Black
I purchased these in fall of last year and installed before winter, after cleaning all the gutters out. We've been having a cool and wet spring and our trees are still budding, don't have leaves yet. My gutters are packed with leaves and their "stalk" of whatever you want to call it. My gutters are overflowing with water now and I'll have to take my cover off at my downspout, clean it out and maybe put back on. I have no area that's uncovered with these guards, but my gutters are overflowing right now. I'll upload pictures and perhaps a video too showing my issues. Quite disappointed because I can't keep going up and down on ladder to clean things out since these covers are supposed to keep this from happening...this is very disappointing... ... show more

  • Preliminary Review
Size Name: 5" x 100' Color: Black
My neighbor complained about rain water coming from my property and asked me to direct my gutter water to a spot where it will flow into the street. I dug a trench about 18" and put 4" PVC pipe. My neighbor's trees dump a lot of leaves on my roof, and I didn't want a clog in a pipe 18" under ground so I wanted to install a gutter guard. I went to Lowe's to check out what they had. I read a lot of reviews and watched a lot of YouTube videos of professionals reviewing the available products. I settled on this. It's aluminum which, according to Frank Costanza, has a high strength to weight ratio. It screws in rather than just snapping in waiting to get blown away by the next heavy wind. And it doesn't tuck under the shingles thereby voiding the warranty from the new roof we just got. This is a preliminary review. The real test is going to be in October. I'll update this then. But there are a lot of things that can be said about this now. First is waterflow. I took one of these and held it under the faucet, and the water went straight through with a heavy flow. It will easily handle a heavy rainfall with no problem. Second, it's easy to install. It comes with screws AND a drill bit to fit the screws. You just install the gutter guards and then with a cordless drill. It's so easy it will make you feel like a master handyman. The only problem I had wit installation was the wasp nest that was already in the gutter. Yikes. Third is customer service. It's a small, family-owned, U.S. company. The product is made in the U.S. I think they're in New Jersey (got give 'em strength). I never had to call the customer service because they're so easy to install. They also have a feature whereby you can buy a sample piece for less than ten bucks to make sure they fit your gutter. These are being marketed to Harry Homeowner weekend warriors DIYers through Amazon. If you get the sample, they'll give you a coupon code for purchasing the product which is more than the cost of the sample piece so it's not ten buck down the drain. Follow Up: Well, the fall came and went. My neighbors' trees dumped a hundred pounds of leaves on my roof. But I didn't have a problem. They say that you still have to clean the leaves off the gutter guards, but I didn't have to. The leaves just fall right off. Not a single clog. Not a single problem. This is amazing. I mean, this is fantastic. Great product. By the way I only got it for the back of the house. I'm going to buy another 100 feet for the front now. ... show more

  • Outstanding product, outstanding service
Size Name: 6" x 100' Color: Black
This product is first class, easy to install for DIY. The pieces have an overlap feature that solves the issue at joints. I ordered 100 ft and came up a few pieces short to complete my job. I asked if they could sell me a few pieces rather than only a box of 100ft. They responded on the weekend and shipped me the few pieces I needed at no cost to me. I could not ask for better! ... show more

  • Great product
Size Name: 6" x 100' Color: Black
The media could not be loaded. I have mature oak trees around my house and without guards, they fill with leaves in a couple days. We are on the Mississippi gulf coast and frequently get very heavy rain. I was looking for a durable guard that can handle a lot of water. These fit the bill. I ordered 100' with rough gutter measurements of 96'. Sure enough, I came out one piece short. I sent an email to LeafTek on Sunday afternoon, and they responded the same day and shipped a piece at no charge the next day. My gutters are mounted pretty high, so I wasn't able to put as much slope on them as I would have liked. The instruction say to put 4 screws on the front and two against the house. Three and two seemed to be enough, but I still ran out of the included screws, so I'd get some before you start. They are invisible from the ground. When installing, I put a pop rivet on the overlapping tab to minimize the chance of leaves getting stuck in the seams. They are easy to cut with snips. I ran a hose to see how much water they could handle. No issues there. See attached video. Overall great product and excellent customer service. ... show more

  • This product is awesome!
Size Name: 5" x 100' Color: Black
I bought this gutter guard product as my weekend DIY project. I was a little sceptical about my ability to complete this project by myself. But in my wildest surprize- I completed covering my entire home gutter with this leafTek gutter guard in one weekend! I ordered 300 linear feet, even though I needed about 270 linear feet. I am keeping the extra pieces in my attic for future use. It was very easy to install and looks professionally installed. **My suggestion to the vendor would be to make 50 and 25 feet box available. So-the buyer can customize their order accordingly. ... show more

  • Draining problems
Size Name: 5" x 32' Color: Black
After reading all the positive reviews I decided to buy these leaf guards. I installed over 250 feet of the leaf guards on my new gutters. After the first rain I discovered a vast amount of water was rolling right over the units. I than used my water hose to sprayed my roof to verify this problem. I was very upset with the results. I than realized I should have bought the sample unit to test first. This unit will keep the leaves out but will not let enough water into your gutters. This is a problem with too much water around my foundation. So I had to remove all of the units and send them back. What a waste of time !!! I didn’t see this statement in any of the nice reviews. ... show more
