I recently added the LE LEMATEC 3-Inch Flexible Head Air Sander Polisher to my workshop, and overall, I'm extremely impressed. The moment you pick it up, you can tell it’s built to last. The sturdy construction gives me confidence this industrial-grade tool will stand up to regular use, whether I'm tackling automotive bodywork, smoothing out woodworking projects, or giving metal a final polish. In terms of performance, it has been flawless. The 5000 RPM is more than enough for the detailed work I need, and the flexible head is a huge asset for reaching tricky contours. It operates smoothly, leaves an excellent finish, and the adjustable swivel exhaust is a thoughtful touch for directing air away from the work area. The lightweight design also helps a lot during longer sessions, keeping user fatigue to a minimum. My one minor critique, which prevents a full five stars, is the noise level. While air tools are inherently noisy, this unit appears somewhat louder than other air tools of similar type that I own. It’s certainly not a dealbreaker, but be sure to keep your high-quality hearing protection close at hand when you fire this up. I'm delighted by this sander. It's very nicely finished -- none of the cheap feel you so often get from Chinese tools. The description says its lightweight, but I don't think I'd described it that way. My initial reaction, in fact, was the opposite -- it's quite hefty -- but I didn't perceive that as a negative -- rather, it gave me the sense of a quality tool built to industrial standards, as the manufacturer's description suggests. Functionally, it does just what you'd expect from a 3" disk with a flexible head -- lets you get into nooks and crannies for sanding and polishing. The page emphasizes automotive work, and it's probably overkill for woodworking, but I used it on wood and it works quite well for that too. It isn't particularly quiet, but neither is it particularly loud for an air tool. All in all, a quality tool that's easy to recommend. ... show more

Despite its description as “lightweight,” this impressive LE LEMATEC air sander and polisher, for its smallish size, definitely has some heft. It’s built like a tank, and the first thing that hits you upon picking it up is in fact its unexpected heft. I’m not saying that it’s too heavy—certainly not compared to bulkier air sanders and polishers—just that it’s a very solid and very robust tool. All this is to say that this tool seems very high quality, very durable, and quite powerful. It’s true that it isn’t orbital. But it never claims to be orbital either. So I personally don’t count this against it. It’s very good at what it does—sanding and polishing. As long as one remembers to INCREASE the number on your sanding disks (increase the grit number) as you sand, you should have no problems. This sander has indeed become my new favorite air tool. I most recently used it to clean and polish my truck’s headlights, which had become yellowish and somewhat grimy. The tool was a pleasure to use, given its relatively lightweight, its comfortable grip, and its unique safety switch, not to mention its adjustable swivel exhaust which allows you to direct the airflow away from you. One thing I’m not quite sure about is that, under Product Specifications, it indicates that this tool should come with three grits of sandpaper: Medium, Fine, Coarse. If this is true, then my tool came with no sandpaper at all. But be that as it may, this sander/polisher is certainly high quality, powerful, durable, and very efficient. And I almost forgot: it’s relatively quiet too! But is it worth its high price point? While I’m honestly not sure, I do know that given its high quality and smooth performance, I would buy it again if need be. ... show more
