I just used my dish yesterday to make cornbread, so I will outline that experience here as an example. I did spray it with oil before pouring the batter in - not sure if it was needed, but I did. When I pulled the dish out of the oven 20 minutes later, a batter drip on the side of the pan had burned onto the handle of the dish and some of the oil along the top edge/rim had burned a bit as well. Usually burned oil spray will stick to a baking pan/dish like glue and never come off. But both the oil AND the burned on drip were able to be removed from the dish with a swipe of my finger! It was an absolute breeze to clean - plus, I cut the cornbread in the dish itself using a sharp knife and there are zero scratches. Bravo to Le Creuset for making such an awesome dish. If you’re on the fence about spending the extra $15-20 to get this, just do it. It’s definitely a worthy investment!

I didn't even take it out of the box. It sounded like broken glass. If you have time to return and order a new one before needing it, the price can't be beat. I ended up buying one at Crate and Barrel.

I ordered this baking dish to make a small batch lasagna for Thanksgiving. Deep enough to allow several layers and baked evenly. I’ve not found any other brand that compares in terms of quality. The additional cost is well worth it in the end. Can’t wait to add to my collection!

I usually buy clear pyrex baking dishes, but I liked the looks of this one so well that I bought it. It is heavier than the pyrex. It is perfect for half a recipe of lasagna. The baking dish is a beautiful picture with red lasagna in the turquoise colored dish.
