Honestly, I never thought I’d be this hyped about a butter dish, but here we are. I’m really liking this one. Why it’s a win: • It’s Gorgeous: The grey (Oyster) color looks super sleek. It’s one of those items that actually makes my kitchen look more "put together." • Built Like a Tank: It has that heavy, high-quality feel you expect from Le Creuset. It doesn't feel fragile or cheap at all. • Actually Works: It keeps the butter at that perfect "easy to spread" texture without it getting gross or oily. I leave it out on the counter and keep a stick of butter in it so we have perfectly soft butter all the time. It looks great and keeps the butter fresh. Le Creuset is a great company. This is a sturdy butter dish. I wanted black, but didn't realize that it was gray on top. It blends into black as it moves to the bottom. My mistake. It seems to close well. There is room for two sticks of butter or European butter. I would hand-wash it. That would be easy to do. I returned it due to the color. I was not sure that it would keep the butter fresh. I chose a dish with a silicone seal instead. ... show more
