Thought this would help me save money… they get gunked up with mud and dirt and clog up and become so heavy that the straps give out. The neighbors and cars passing by during this event was overall embarrassing as well. Oh look at this lady dancing in her yard with those weird shoes, still packed with dirt and laying in the corner of the garage after my one time use/try. Not worth the cost or the embarrassment. I used a garden weasel instead and now the grass is thriving

I was concerned going into these that I would be walking around like a cat with tape on their paw. Thankfully, that was not the case. That being said, these things were easy to put together, but took a small amount of time since there were 16 screws on each foot/pad. The screws slide in from the top and sit in a hole shaped for the head which helps hold the bold/screw firm when tightening the nut from the bottom. Supplied with the kit is a small wrench to get the nuts tight, just be careful not to overtighten as I feel that with a little too much force you will strip the head in the plastic on the top side. I don't think you need to really tighten them too much anyways. The nails are about 1.5" long, but I can't say if that's the ideal length to properly aerate your lawn but it seems better than nothing. If you walk in the yard after a rainfall, you'll end up walking high up on a pack of mud stuck to the bottom of your feet. In dry areas, it was very easy to walk around in these with no need to alter my gate or way I step/walk. After several passes around the yard, there was no deformation to the platforms or nails. However, the drawback to these things is the strapping system to your feet. I had basic shoes on and the strap across the toes fit fine. The issue came from the part that goes around the rear of your foot across in front of your ankle and back to the rear portion of your foot. That strap is too short to fit the other portion of the Velcro that is only on the fart side of your foot/strap. I could not get the strap over like they show in their image, I had to have the strap on my ankle itself, staying off the shoe and pulled tight to get it to strap properly. A word to the creator of these, make the strap have the Velcro across the whole strap so it'll fit more peoples feet. I wear a size 10 shoe and the toe of my shoe hangs over the edge of the plastic, but doesn't cause any issues. If you're leery about wearing these and looking silly, they're really not too eye catching. The straps are pretty inconspicuous and shouldn't attract too much attention when walking behind your mower or while maybe watering your yard. To sum it up, these seem well made, easy to use and functional. Like I mentioned, I can't say the depth and size of these nails will do wonders or just help a little, but I assume (dangerous I know) it would be better than nothing at all. I look forward to seeing how the yard responds to using these and think they're going to be pretty handy (footy?) to have on while mowing. The 1 star deduction is mainly from the strap issue and the potential of the nail heads stripping out the plastic they rest in. Otherwise, good quality and the value seems to be there for what you get. I will say, be careful on the unpacking process because the bag that holds the nails split along the side and they went everywhere on the ground. Thankfully I was able to find them all and they supply one extra nail in case you need it. A few extras seems like a better option because you never know what you'll step on under the top layer of the yard.

Easy to assemble and worked really well. The only issue is the Velcro straps. I don’t have huge feet. I’d say about average size, and I had literally a tiny tiny portion to attach the strap to. This caused the straps to be extremely tight around my feet. I’m not sure why they didn’t put Velcro on the entire strap, so that you could secure the straps at any size. I guess I’ll just buy some Velcro and add it to the straps myself. Other than that, the actual product worked well.

First the info said ready to use straight out of the box which is untrue. You do have to assemble by putting the spikes on and tightening with nuts. Second, there were no instructions in the box so I had to go back to the order on Amazon and search for the video to assemble. Third the plastic is not sturdy. I lost 9 spikes when I only made it through half of my yard because they ripped through the plastic. I could use it any further since it wasn’t sturdy enough for our yard.
