I bought this set to have on hand for replacement of the OEM cartridges for my Brother MFCJ6945DW. The OEM ink lasted longer than I thought, so I didn't get to try out the new ink until 7 months after I bought it. I replaced all 4 at the same time. Unfortunately, the printer would not recognize the magenta cartridge, so I had to put the nearly empty OEM one back in. I'm interested to see if the vendor will be willing to replace the defective cartridge 6 months out. The other cartridges seem to be operating just as the OEMs did. Addendum: The vendor did respond promptly and stated that they would send a replacement for the unrecognized cartridge. It took a couple of weeks for it to arrive as I live in Alaska. The new replacement cartridge works fine. I'm hoping to bat 4 out of 4 next year when I anticipate these XXL cartridges will be running low.

These LCL supposedly BROTHER compatible cartridges only work about half the time, sometimes yes sometimes no, and sometimes they are installed and begin working and then STOP after printing very few pages. I've been buying the four packs with Black, Magenta, Yellow and Cyan. From last order, the Magenta cartridge printed less than 50 pages and the XL Black READ EMPTY a few days. (A BLACK XL normally lasts me months). Just now ANOTHER magenta stopped printing, but it is CLEARLY FULL OF INK. Based on total weight, I know what the empty cartridges weigh on a scale. By weight, the Magenta should be FULL and if I can tell by weight and the sound of the ink in the cartridge, it is DEFINITELY FULL.

I made the mistake of saving a few dollars ordering these, or so I thought. They worked fine for two months. Three of the cartridge's leaked so this Brother 11" x 17" printer is getting tossed. To make matters worse I leaked some ink on my rug moving the unit. Life is not fair sometimes.

Ink cartridges arrived promptly and worked exactly as described! I’m very pleased with this company and understand why they have such great reviews. Only minus is that the proprietary page count remaining per ink cartridge doesn’t work any longer, my solution, buy another generic ink cartridge to have on hand for when it unexpectedly runs out. That way no stressing out about how much ink is left! Win-win!

It may be a bit more expensive , but it works...Nothing will give you the count except Brother, but if you can visulize, you can see when you're running out..... It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that.
