These would likely work well for someone to practice their art on. I do not have a caliper to measure the thickness of these sheets, but they are thicker than most silicone pads I have seen. One thing to note is that there is a smell to them that was pretty apparent as soon as I opened the bag. I found that the smell did not transfer to my hands upon handling but it is strong enough that I had to wash them and let them “air out” a bit before I used them. The smell has not gone away yet after washing. I am not an artist but I plan on using them for crafting and I imagine they will work very well as they don’t seem to have that super sticky feel that other silicone pads I have used seem to exhibit. The quality also appears to be higher and they feel more durable than other silicone pads I have used for crafting. The size in my opinion, is perfect for taking with you, yet still providing a big enough surface area to work on. The color of the pads are similar to what you see in adhesive wound dressings/bandages. The reason for the three stars versus five was due to the terrible smell. ... show more

I am not sure what is going on if it is me or the skin but for half of the skins the ink just rubs off/out. Not sure why some seems to stick and others not. Probably user error. They are kind of thick and feel nice.

Yes, this really is quality tattoo practice skin. Initially, I thought that this was the rubber type skin, which I feel is inferior. This is actually the higher quality, stiffer skin, and I believe that it's made of silicone. This is a thick skin, which will aid in keeping it flat on your work surface as you practice. Additionally, that thickness means that you can easily work both sides of this material, a real money saver in the long run. I've tried to give a visual idea of the thickness of the material in pic #4. There are cheaper practice skins, but because they tend to run thinner (1.0-1.2mm) and softer, they can be difficult to work with. The really thin ones become impossible to work two sides. I was impressed with this material in that the manufacturer was actually proud enough to mold his name into each sheet (see pic #3). That's a first for me. My only issue with this set of six sheets (comes in a zip lock carrier, by the way) is the price. It seems a bit high, but again, keep in mind that this is really good material. ... show more

Six, individually wrapped fake skins. The 1.6MM thickness let's you know when you in danger of going too deep and risking a blow-out. Nothing takes the place of real skin, but this is something to get a feel for your technique and equipment when you don't have citrus fruit available. Does hold ink and does allow for a paper transfer, however in my experience, the transfer template wiped off with the first pass (because of the ink? I really don't know). We all have to start somewhere and maybe these practice skins will help you begin your journey. ... show more

The ink did not stick to the “skin” at all. I went over the brow multiple times with my PMU machine along with my microblade tool and no pigment penetrated into this material at all. I’d like a complete refund! Waste of money! First review so trust this! Please do better and stop trying to cheat people out of hard earned money who simply wish to continue mastering skills!
