It's hard to buy items on line and not really know what you're getting, but these curtains, were better than described. They were the perfect shade of gray, and they felt like a high-end material...worth more than the cost. They block light, but allow enough to get through so you can see. I live in Florida and have sunshine all the time during the day, which raises temperatures in the home, so I was hopeful these would not only keep out light, but some heat....they do! ... show more

The greyish white is true to photo. It is a very light shade of grey. The material is thick. However, it does have a woven defect (like a snag). Since I am going to use this for a big window in the shower stall, it doesn't bother me. I just hope for the material to dry quickly after the shower.

The only mistake I bought was buying rods first, curtains later. My fault, but these can't slide open easily at all. Just order thinner rods, mine are nearly as thick as a broom handle, but I think I can come up with a working solution. Discovered too late to return rods, love the curtains.
