The 15-Tine Aerator is very sturdy and easy to use. It is large enough to make it possible to aerate your lawn, but is compact enough to use rapidly and efficiently. You can simply force it into the ground with your arms (throwing) or use your foot to press down, both approaches work well. It stays rigid and so it's easy to use repeatedly over and over as you cover your lawn. I was very impressed, since I have used the shoe-spikes before which are a colossal pain in the neck. Eventually you may need a big coring aeration for your lawn, but this really helps with opening up the soil and letting water and fertilizers deeper into the ground.

I received it today and have already started using it on my lawn already. It is an easy assemble manual tool to aerate the lawn. Pro - the stainless steel nails makes it easy to press down and penetrate the surface soil, it has good anti-corrosion coating to prevent rust. Con - The down side is that it can be time consuming and labor intense if you try to do thousands of sq ft. But if you want a budget tool to aerate small area of lawn, it's a fair investment.

This product worked excellent on half of a damp yard before breaking. Reading other reviews of many brands & others i have bought, this area that breaks is common; where the handle is welded to the plate. Steel is thick enough, but if you notice there is little to no weld at the connection. It needs to penetrate both pieces of metal; the design is fine. It cannot take any prying. I have found another that bolts directly from the bottom plate into threaded holes in the handle. Hopefully those welds will hold. These reviews dont talk about longevity.

Spikes came already assembled into the base, which I was not expecting so that saved a lot of time on assembly. Only needed two nuts and bolts and came with little wrenches to assemble. The assembly is more heavy duty than I expected. Very easy to use and the rubber grips are comfortable. Made aerating my lawn easy. Great price and well built.

This aerator is a solid option for patching a few bald spots on your lawn. The spikes are long and can penetrate soil effectively. While it does require a bit of physical effort, it’s a great tool to have in hand to patch a few spots. Overall, it seems durable and will designed and is great buy for the price.
