This lawn aerator gets the job done! The spikes are sturdy and it feels heavy-duty when you're using it. Definitely noticed a difference in my yard after just a couple passes. One tip I would recommend putting a bit of Loctite on the screws at the bottom to keep them from loosening over time. Other than that, itโs a great tool. The double-pipe handle and T-grip make it easy to use without killing your back. Great value for the price!

I bought this tool to help aerate my lawn. I was told by several gardening specialists that some areas of my lawn were compacted. I chose to try this tool and it did work , but it was tough where there were tree roots. I am still assessing whether or not it was as effective as a professional service service would have been. I will probably have to do it again. Just FYI it does require arm and leg strength to dig it in.

Great product and well made. It's an integral part of my grass looking good ๐๐พ. This product is especially good on grass covered areas. On bare spots, it tends to pull up the dirt. But if needed, I could remove some of the spikes. I recommend this product.

Three nuts missing and one bolt came missing. Spent $3.50 to buy new hardware so everything would look and hold properly. Took a half hour to travel to True Value for these parts. Came home to find out that the hole diameters were different between the inner and outer fork frames. Took another hour to redrill all holes to the same diameter. Fifteen minutes later I had the fork assembled and started using it. I'm glad I did not buy the spike shoes; that would not have worked. The large number of spikes on this tool worked well to loosen the sandy soil in my yard, and shortened my work load and effort. The tool is very robust and well made. I am satisfied but the lack of standard hole sizes and the missing hardware dropped what would have been a great review.

Looks and feels like a quality piece but arrived with only 1 screw for assembly. Giving 3 stars based on inconvenience. Might change my rating if I decide to reorder and see that it performs well.

If you have large rock under your sod, it won't go very deep. But normal sod areas are easy. It is quite heavy and can give your arms a work out. Not a bad thing.
