Our two children (4 and 3) are about to start sharing a room and we were searching for a desk that would accommodate both of them. We wanted something that had some shelving or storage, could seat both of them, and provided them each sufficient activity space to color/draw/read. This desk hits all of those marks! The quality of the desk is sturdy enough to survive use from both kids. I do recommend anchoring it to the wall to prevent injury from tipping over, but that was also an easy process. I imagine this desk is durable enough to take them to around 7 or 8 when they'll likely outgrow it. Perfect sleek looking desk that helps utilize the most of a space/bedroom with two small children. The desk was purchased for two, 5 year old twin boys. They love the height and workspace. It arrived packaged nicely without damage and went together very easily. Would recommend for the money!

Looks great. Good size for our 5yr olds. Seems sturdy, though time will tell. Assembly is "easy", but I still managed to get it wrong a few times. The instructions are much too faint. Many steps I had to make educated guesses. This allowed me to install the cabinets upside down and back to front. Easy to remedy, but added 30min to the build time. The attachment of the side cabinets to the desk is very weak. I can't imagine it surviving being moved. I would suggest either not attaching them, or adding an additional screw towards the bottom of each. An odd choice from the designer, easy for them to improve with a removable clip or similar. ... show more

I was looking for a desk for my 5 year old, but knowing that my 2 year old would want to use it as well, decide it to look for a desk that they both could share. This desk is adorable, looks so cute and it is perfect for two kids. My brother put it together so I’m not so sure how hard/easy it was. It’s not as flimsily as other reviews make it sound, we were able to move it between two rooms; but it’s also not the sturdiest piece of furniture. The size is perfect for my 2 and 5 year olds, but I do worry if it will be able to grow with my 5 year old since it looks kinda small. Overall we do not regret the purchase.     • Cute, Unique Piece but Some Flaws
First the good. This piece is really cool in that it does not resemble any of the other kids desks on the market. The mountain detail and extra wide configuration with cubbies do set it apart from other comparably priced options available through Amazon, and this made it particularly well suited to our daughter's specific needs: a spacious workspace for larger projects and extra storage for books/supplies. However, we were disappointed in the quality of the desk's components (several pieces arrived with significant damage) and instructions (the printing was very faded and the renderings were not always clear). All said, we would buy again. This isn't the most durable piece of furniture, and it likely won't last last more than a few years, but then again we don't really need it to. So, if you are in search of a moderately priced, somewhat "expendable" desk for your younger children - ie, something that they can beat up and you don't anticipate keeping past the toddler/young kid years - then this could be a great choice. Just keep your expectations in check - this is not an heirloom by any means. ... show more

Desk came in two large packages. Well packed with no damage. It wasn’t hard to put together- I did it slowly by myself. My 8 year old LOVES it. I ended up putting it in a tighter corner than O first anticipated, so I left the left hand rectangular bookcase off and used that freestanding.
