This is a cute decorative piece. It’s very light weight, thin wood. Was easy to assemble. I’m planning to paint or whitewash mine. It does have a hole in the top rail, so you can anchor it on the wall if you want.

Fairly sturdy we have loaded this thing with books and it hold them like a champ. My one complaint is that the shelf are space high enough for some books. Like Harry Potter books won't fit vertically

At 54 in. I stand over this when leaning on the wall. While I read the measurements and knew it wouldnt be very high, what I didnt take into consideration is when it leans it will be that much lower. If this is standing completely upright, sure its 50in. But the whole purpose is to lean so you lose a few inches. Its cute, light but doesnt serve what I need it for. Purchased this book shelf for my books… it looks nice, however my books are too tall for the short distance between each shelf. I thought my books are pretty “standard” size… make sure you check your books sizes prior to ordering this product (if that’s what you intend to use it for.

I love this. It literally took less than 10 minutes to assemble (by myself)! I am using to store little fall knickknacks. I would not trust it with anything heavy or of great value (or perhaps around kids). I imagine the wall option will make it sturdier?
