There's a whole group of Nespresso compatible pods that are inexpensive and lower quality than the original Nespresso capsules (which are seen as the gold standard for the most part). These Lavazza pods definitely fall into the lower tier of Nespresso pods. They're pretty good for the price and make a decent espresso that has top heavy roast notes, a medium-light body, and is adequate for milk drinks and or a standard morning coffee.     • Not compatible with Nespresso!
Do not buy these for your Nespresso! The package arrived with 1 completely cracked and coffee all over the box. Then when putting these into the Nespresso machine - because of how skinny the plastic on the pod is - it would get squished/wrinkled in and stuck in the machine. Terrible quality.

    • Half pods didn't work!
I normally get another brand but got this to change things up a bit. It was a waste of money! Half the pods didn't work, fail to puncture correctly or plugged up water flow. Flavor was flat, not robust at all. Went back to usual brand I use no problems with my Nespresso, and back to a great cup of morning coffee. ... show more

    • Lavazza at its best
I used a Gaggia Classic in the past and used Lavazza almost exclusively. For a bunch of reasons I switched to a Nespresso machine. I was happy to see that Lavazza makes pods for the Nespresso. Tastes as good as "barista" shots. Very consistent draws.

    • Good coffee
I always like Lavazza coffees (not limited to espresso). These have very nice flavor, aroma and crema. It's not really bitter and a some acidity at the end to give some complexity. The box didn't come all smashed, so I can use all the capsules.

    • Nespresso Compatible Pod that Works Well
Some of these off brand pods just don't produce quality coffee in the Nespresso brand machines. This one does. Great price and surprisingly nice espresso too!

    • Will fall right through the Nespresso Machine
Not sized correctly and will fall right through the Nespresso machine opening and into the used capsule bin. Taste is pretty good but completely useless if it doesn't work. Garbage.
