This is the best cream eyeshadow I've used, and I have tried many. The Dulce de Leche is very light and I use it as a base on my eyelids and around and below my eyes. It brightens the eye area and I can use it alone or with the other colors I've ordered (all matte shades). It's easy to apply - just use your pinkie finger to dab it on the eyelid or use a small brush. It does crease a bit, but it's easy just to smooth out the crease with a finger. It stays on well all day. I have dry eye syndrome and just about anything makes my eyes water. This eyeshadow does not irritate my eyes, unlike powder eyeshadow. This eye-shadow is silky and smooth. It easily glides over my eyelids. It never turns sticky or hard. This color is a neutral to cool pinkish purple, leaning more to light purple. It's really more of a violet than a purple. Most purples/violets have more red or more blue in them. This color seems to be balanced between red/blue. It is brilliant and has a tasteful shimmer. I dislike the glitter look but equally dislike the matte look. This eye-shadow is beautifully balanced between those two extremes. It looks great on fair skin with pink to neutral undertones. I bought a white color to brighten up my eye area. I’m in my 40s and was worried about too much glitter settling in fine lines. It didn’t. It’s smooth and creamy. However, I’m giving it only 3 stars because it burns my eyes something fierce! I don’t mean the eyelids - I mean my eyeballs. And I’ve never been one to have cosmetics allergies. I’ve had to take my contacts out, flush my eyes with water, and put my glasses on. I can only wear this eyeshadow when I wear my glasses, and then it still manages to seep its way into my eyes, and burns to the point of tears. I really wanted to like this, since it’s not tested on animals. Research the horrors of animal testing - it’s not harmless. It’s serious. Buy cruelty free when you can. But, sadly, I need to keep shopping for a cruelty-free shadow. ... show more

Very beautiful. I use it under my eye shadow and in the corner of my eyes and then as a highlighter on my cheekbones. it is too shimmery to use on my forehead, on the bridge of my nose, or on my Cupid's bow. If I put it there it looks ridiculous and I look like a fairy unicorn with shimmering dust on my face that should be auditioning for the tooth fairy in community theater. I'm pretty sure the old saying about going to powder your nose was intended to remove shine because its undesirable to have a shiny nose. However, it is very beautiful to lighten up my eyes, lessen the dark circles and it makes me look younger. the only issue that I have is that it smells bad. I thought that it had gone rotten and they had sent me an old one so I had them send me a new one and it smelled the same. the only thing I can think of is that the whole batch is bad or that this was indeed the intended smell. but I like different smells and I do not like this one. it smells like something has gone off.
