I have been using Laura Mercier Eye Basics Primer for years! This time the product came and was very dry. AI should have returned it but unfortunately did not. I used it for a few days and my eyes began to burn and itch. So disappointing! I will most likely not order it from Amazon again.

I've used this for years and love it. It is a light neutral color that brightens your eyelids and banishes that tired a.m. Look. It's a great base for colored shadows or fine alone when you don't want to bother with colors. I like the wheat color the best. I also have linen which is very light if that's what you're looking for. It's so easy to apply with the wand and only a very small amount is needed-it goes a long way! I just dab a dot on the center of each eyelid and then blend them with my finger tip. A tube lasts me a lonnnnnng time. At least a year but probably more. I was rather surprised to see how much better I look when I neutralize and lighten the color of my eyelids without applying any actual "color" to them. It makes me look younger and less tired. It also provides a very neutral colored base for your other shadow, which lets their color show and doesn't darken them or alter them.

Love this product especially in the peach which neutralizes lid discoloration. I often times wear the eye base without eyeshadow. When wearing with eyeshadow, color stays on all day.

Laura Mercier makes some of the finest products on the market today. Hers is a trusted name synonymous with quality. Her eye basics line is no exception. While meant to be used on the eye lid as a base for powder and shadows, I use it as under eye camouflage as well as a cover up cream for problem areas. It is smooth, creamy and long wearing. It looks and feels natural and stays in place all day long. While a bit pricey it is worth it and I will order it again. I never look like I am wearing makeup and that is important as I am a man who has rosacea.
