this is a very sturdy file cabinet. The rounded metal design I think will hold up much better than traditional squared off corners. This does make for a very appealing look which is one of the reasons I bought it. Also a little bit safer if you have kids running around. It does look very nice I would be happy to put this most anywhere. My problem is the woodgrain on the one I ordered. First, its not actually wood. I was fooled and thought the front was a wooden panel. Its a just a metal drawer with what looks like a wood paint finish. it still looks fine, I just really like actual wood. Secondly, that wood finish is a shade or two lighter to me than what is shown in the pictures. Not so far off that I would send it back but enough that it doesn't match the wooden desk I put it under as close as I would have liked. I was willing to pay the price because I thought it had actually wood panels on it. Without the wood panels I am not sure the price is worth it. That being said I do think it is a superior product to the cheaper options and without a middle option I am willing ot keep it. Again, back to the sturdiness, it does look like it will stand the test of time (time will tell) and if it does then the price is worth it. It comes with static feet installed and wheels that can be replaced for that static feet if you want it to be mobile. Currently i have left the static feet on and will consider the wheels as a possibility later. It comes with built in lock and 2 keys. The keys and lock works smoothly and like they should. The drawers have the standard safety mechanism only allowing 1 drawer to be open at a time. The cabinet seems to be well weighted at the bottom. These 2 things should prevent most accidental tip overs. Honestly, I would give it 4.5 stars if I could, the pros ffar out way the cons. Pros: - Very sturdy - very nice looking drawers. - no setup necessary if you don't want the wheels on it, works right out of the box. - drawers fit letter size folders one way and legal size folders the other way. I used both so this is a nice feature. - drawers and locks operate smoothly and properly. - Anti-tilt safety on drawers. Cons - Woodgrain shade might not match what you see on screen. - Price is a little high in my opinion. ... show more

Filing cabinet was delivered promptly and in excellent condition. I had a question concerning what I thought was a missing feature as described in other reviews of this cabinet so I contacted the manufacture late in the day and I received a response within several hours. This feature that I had questioned was that it was not to allow both drawers of the cabinet to open at the same time so to prevent the cabinet from tipping over. Their customer service agent explained that this feature had been removed due to it causing the drawers to bind up and not open properly.
