Great sound - compelling look!
I bought this cajon to play in a musical theater piece - ( the barrel stave construction matched the stage design ) Turns out it's a great sounding instrument! Deep bass tones and a nice variety of crisp snare and "rimshot" sounds. I perform regularly with a band where I use this cajon along with the Meinl Percussion TMSTCP Direct Drive Cajon Pedal... makes for a very versatile combination. I own a few cajons... this is my go-to favorite. Don't go cheap. It's worth the $.

Great finish and ease of playability
Great finish and ease of playability. The sound is great. The bass is low and the snares snappy. Unlike other cajons I have played, the staves are thick to not really playable in the outside but towards the edge of the front plate you can get some neat sounds. Would definitely recommend.
