I needed comfortable compression after a surgery and the medical garment was not cutting it, so I did a bunch of research, read tons of reviews, and ordered this one. I am 5'5, 160 lbs, and my waist measured 37". I usually wear tops in a medium, so I was leary of the size chart stating I would need the 3xl. I also read the reviews urging buyers to go by that chart, so I did. However, I also bought a 2xl to compare. The 2xl arrived first. It fit pretty snug on the outermost row of hooks while still allowing me to breathe and sit comfortably, so I went with the 2xl and returned the 3xl without even opening it. I cannot believe how easy this has been to wear every day, all day (doc prescribed 24/7 wear). I have tried corsets/waist trainers/shapewear a couple times in the past for costumes and a wedding, but they always curled up, slid down, bent in the middle creating a different kind of bulge right where I was trying to smooth, or just seemed to disperse the extra fat up and out the back - which is NOT cute. This waist trainer does everything you hope it will do. I sit a lot for work, and this has held its shape. The high back keeps the "dispersal" from spilling out the top. The fabric is soft, smooth, and has a very high quality look and feel to it. Because of my incisions, I have to wear this over a cami. I was worried that this would uncover the flaw - there had to be one, right? I thought it would slide down, twist, or creep up, but no! This thing stays put! It's amazing, and it would reach perfection status if it actually did take inches off my waist. Well, call it perfect! After the second day of wear, I took it off to shower and put it back on hooking it down the center row. What?! I tell ya, I wanted to measure right then and there, but I was in a hurry, and I wasn't in the mood for disappointment. Well, I quickly (but still comfortably) moved to the inner hooks a few days later and started wondering if I should buy an XL. I measured my waist yesterday - 34"! Yep, XL order placed. I am blown away. I can't imagine the difference I will see once I'm cleared to hit the gym again! The ONLY con (for me) is that it doesn't come in solid black. Definitely not a deal breaker, but if it was solid black, I could see wearing this over a white button up with slacks - it's that nice looking. And there's my experience - so far. I hope this helped someone. If you couldn't tell, I highly - HIGHLY-recommend.

To start off I am not someone who ever writes reviews about any products I’ve ever bought on Amazon, but I was so impressed with the quality of this faja(shapewear), I usually can only find this quality of Faja in Mexico ladies it really snatches your waist, and then the back of it goes higher up to hide your back fat so when you put a dress over it or a tight shirt, you don’t even see any fat hanging out like you would with a lot of other Fajas. At first it is a little hard to get on but that is expected, anyone who’s purchased really high quality Fajas that really snatch your waist know what I’m talking about. This is not a low quality faja that doesn’t hold its shape and your able to see lumps and bumps everywhere. No, this is a really good quality faja. So usually when you buy these type of shape-wear they typically are quite hard to put on the first few weeks. It will loosen up eventually and get a lot easier to get it on and off.

I like the level of tummy control and the fact that the back is a bit higher so you don’t get that back fat pudge . Good quality fabric and reasonably comfortable. My only dislikes is it’s a bit hard to close and I am only 5 foot so I wish there was a petite sizing as it cuts into the underside of my breast and the tops of my hips when I sit
