I'm so pleased with this Macbook Air M1 with 8gb RAM and 128gb SSD. I was worried about buying refurbished and my budget is tight so I went with the "acceptable" condition. Also, I was worried 128gb would not be enough storage but my last computer was a 2015 Macbook Pro with the same amount of internal memory. So, I've learned to use SSDs and iCloud. It arrived in great condition! It is incredibly fast due to the M1 chip, looks so beautiful and battery life is 88%! It can last an entire day, 14 hours at work. Does not overheat. The screen looks amazing. It's far, far more than expected and it's helping the environment too! I'm much less stressed about using this computer which fits in my budget (about $350) than I would be buying a more expensive version. Makes me hesitate to buy new when there are refurbished gems like this one! Thank you, Mobilesupply! As long as you are good with managing storage, I find the 128gb to be enough! Please make sure to check how much storage you are currently using prior to purchasing. Also, I received a non-OEM charger that didn't work so be aware of this as a possibility. The company gave me a small courtesy credit to buy a new one. Of course I wish it came with original Apple charger but still five stars! Update: March 2026 It's 7 months later and this computer is one of the best purchases I have made. Has not missed a beat. Still at 88% capacity. I use it daily at work for over 8 hours easily. Holds a charge well. I know I can rely on her and she fit so well within my budget. I did have to go through today and manage some files since memory fills up fast but I offloaded onto my external SSD. Still highly recommend. If you can spare the extra funds for the 256gb version, may be better for your needs but for me it works well and I don't mind having a smaller storage to work with. I still would choose this over the new Macbook Neo in a heartbeat given the touch ID, the savings and how reliable it is. Update: July 2026 Nearly a year later and still going strong. Battery life remains at 88% despite use at least 3 days per week. I use it on "low power" mode. Apple recently increased prices by A LOT and I'm so glad for this trusty computer. I do recommend checking for the 8GB, 256GB SSD version because it is sometimes less expensive with better storage. I continue to use iCloud and external drives. The 128GB may be tight for many people but if you are okay with having other storage options, this is an amazing computer.

I was honestly a little hesitant about buying a refurbished MacBook Air, but I’m so glad I did. When it arrived, it looked almost brand new. The screen, keyboard, and overall condition exceeded my expectations. The setup was surprisingly easy, even for someone who isn’t particularly tech-savvy. I was able to install Google Chrome, customize my settings, and start organizing my publishing business right away. The battery life has been excellent, it’s fast, quiet, and everything runs smoothly. I especially appreciate the value. I saved a significant amount of money compared to buying new, yet I feel like I received a premium laptop. For email, web browsing, Microsoft Word, publishing, and everyday business tasks, it has been perfect. If you’re considering a refurbished MacBook, don’t let the word “refurbished” scare you. Mine has been an outstanding purchase, and I would absolutely buy one again. Highly recommended!

Beautiful on the outside, completely broken on the inside — a heartbreaking refurb experience What a major disappointment. I’m an Apple fanboy who was really hoping to get into the MacBook world on a poor man’s budget. After hearing from ChatGPT, YouTubers, and countless reviewers that the M1 MacBook Airs are still incredible machines for the money, I was excited. I currently have a Windows laptop that I absolutely hate. It’s heavy, ugly, and feels like carrying around a small brick. Since I don’t have a credit card, I used Amazon’s Affirm option, which worked great. As usual, Amazon’s shipping was almost unbelievably fast. The outside shipping box was a little beat up, but the actual laptop box was perfect. I opened it immediately because the listing said “excellent condition,” and I wanted to inspect it carefully. The refurb description was not exaggerated. The MacBook looked brand new. Not a scratch. Not a mark. It was literally beautiful. I was ecstatic. I thought I had scored the deal of the year. Then reality hit. I actually canceled my morning yoga session because I wanted to spend time setting it up. Unfortunately, the excitement lasted about five minutes. Almost immediately, I knew something was wrong. Trying to install Chrome produced a bizarre, almost DOS-like error message that I had never seen on a Mac. I tried repeatedly. Same result. Then I tried Firefox. Same thing. Safari worked fine, but third-party apps would not install correctly. Even my Logitech mouse software refused to install properly. I spent hours troubleshooting. I updated macOS, tried again, and attempted the installs one more time. Nothing changed. The same brutal error messages kept appearing. After working through the problem with ChatGPT, the conclusion was that something was corrupted internally and that I was probably wasting my time trying to rescue a defective machine. Apple support (which was surprisingly helpful and free, even though Apple didn’t sell me this refurb) came to the same conclusion: there appeared to be a corrupted file or system issue. Amazon, as usual, handled the return process perfectly. No complaints there. I simply packed it up, grabbed my QR code, and drove 10 miles to Whole Foods to say goodbye to the MacBook that looked perfect but was completely unusable. The hardest part was deciding not to exchange it. Normally I would. But after going from the excitement of finding what looked like a perfect M1 MacBook Air to discovering it was defective, I just didn’t have the emotional energy to go through that roller coaster again. This was not a complaint about the MacBook Air itself. The M1 is still an amazing machine. My disappointment is with receiving a refurb that looked like a showroom model but functioned like a lemon. A beautiful laptop that never got the chance to make me happy.

What I bought: Apple Air w/ M1 Chip (late 2020) Condition Purchased: Excellent I am extremely happy with this purchase. At first, when it was delivered a day later than the 2 day Prime and it still hadn’t shipped on that day nor deducted the money from my account, I thought I was going to get a “out of stock” message or something. BUT, the money came out in the afternoon of day 2 (original delivery date), then shipped a little later, and was delivered the very next day. What is the ACTUAL condition? I’d say it is a high “excellent” to low “premium”. Super happy. There is slight mark on the outside of the screen side clamshell cover from a sticker or something that should come off, it’s faint, if not, no biggie, the case will cover it. There is a spot that is “worn” on the screen side clamshell cover form opening it. Barely noticeable, I was being very Magnum P.I. when I found it. No marks on the screen. Buttons are perfect and snappy, like new. The USB-C ports feel like they have never been used. The trackpad is perfect. The battery health is 94% with 162 total cycles. Oh, AND it came with the original Apple power supply (30A charge cube). This is my daughters, she bought it with her 16th birthday money and I am extremely thankful that it is in such great shape. I would absolutely buy from TechDeals4Less again. No question! ****this is a real review, by a real person, not connected to TechDeals4Less in any way. I know how it is to question a refurbed $100’s item quality especially not knowing what you’ll “actually” get. Hopefully this helps someone on their choice.****

Great for work and logic/garage band. Not so great for gaming. I ordered a refurbished one in excellent condition. The price is fair, the keys work fine, sound works great, the battery life is great, and after a month of use I have not run into software issues. The only visible sign of damage is a burn smudge on the bottom left corner that I cannot remove with a microfiber cloth and distilled water. That’s my only complaint but that’s to be expected buying refurbished. Don’t forget to buy protection and clean it often, it’ll make it last a couple extra years.

My original Used - Excellent Condition MacBook purchase didn’t go well as the machine quickly showed signs of overheating with an excessively loud fan and constant freezing. I’d have issues with opening apps and the system itself was super slow. I returned that laptop with no problems and purchased a second, similar model. This second 2020 MacBook has been a blessing and runs smoothly with no issues! It updates quickly and has excellent battery life. I can download programs super fast and run multiple browser tabs with no problem. Storage is not a problem and it has an excellent display. The laptop is lightweight and perfect to travel with. Physically, the laptop has very little damage and thankfully no sticker stains. It came with a few dents on the corners but nothing that wasn’t expected. I’m glad I gave the renewed MacBook a second chance!

I included the seller name in my review title since I noticed the reviews here are for Macbook refurbs purchased from different sellers under the Amazon Renewed Store umbrella but not all sellers are equal. This was my third attempt to purchase this Macbook because I got cold feet about negative seller reviews on one and an inconsistent description on the other (neither of the other two were Amazon purchases). This time I looked at seller ratings on all the options I was considering and that approach paid off! Device Refresh shipped my order right away and I got instant peace of mind being able to verify quickly that I got what I paid for. The "excellent condition" Macbook Air I received looks brand new, came with 90% battery health, and is 100% as described and exactly what I wanted. Buying used is definitely scary but so worth it if you find the right seller. I feel smart about this purchase.
