Beyond the basics, the i9 processor and extra (32 gb) Ram make this in particular a nicely priced update for a casual user like my spouse, supplementing her iPhone (and least used iPad.) Desktop user myself, since 1991, when I had to teach myself to successfuly use Aldus Pagemaker and Photoshop. Was surprised to find this "refurb"/no visible use, Macbook Pro arrived with the latest MacOS, Sequoia already installed. This can become a user relief, as apps like, in my recent experience, Turbotax and H&R Block have a nasty habit of demanding a newer (but not necessarily the lastest) OS, at each app edition year. Meanwhile, Apple is no help with this on "Unsupported" Macs (like my 2014 desktop.) Having to update OS's without Apple, via e.g. Open Core Legacy Patcher, as I have done twice to satisfy the tax apps, can be tedious and not for the impatent or faint of heart. This Powerbook could have come with as old-old-old as "Sierra" installed, so am pleased not to have another OS upgrade task lurking in the future (regardless that it should be much easier on this and newer still-Apple-Supported machines.) This PowerBook and newer machines require USB-C connections to connect older USB-version devices, from such as the power plug to DVD/CD players etc, , but these adapters are easily bought "everywhere" electronics are sold for as little as $10, to $30 for a multi-plugs adaptor. ... show more

Hola a todos! Hemos comprado ya 3 equipos de la misma manera, todo super bien mas que detalles de uso como cualquier equipo que se compra en estas condiciones. Para uno de los 3 equipos que es justamente con el que me he quedado yo, la cámara frontal no funciona. No se si en el proceso de renovado no lo han conectado o se ha colocado un dispositivo en mal estado. Lastimosamente no se ha adquirido el seguro y el equipo ya se encuentra fuera del país.     • Looking for a reasonably priced Apple starter?
My first MacBook Pro. I love it. Beautiful screen display. Great laptop for an Apple beginner. I picked this model because of the Intel I9 cpu. I always heard that the i9 was special, but I had never seen an i9 in a PC. I doubt I would make this choice again, but I am really happy with the product.

    • UPDATE: Not Worth the Hassle
Originally, I was very pleased with the quality. However, after a few days, I started noticing issues. First when I would plug the laptop in, I noticed that two of the charging ports were not functioning. When plugged into these ports, they would flicker on and off charging and never actually charged the laptop. Shortly after I was watching videos, and the audio let out a loud screech, that quite frankly scared me and my dog and then it shut off. Most recently, the screen has began to flicker while watching videos, and the battery will hold a charge for one hour and a half. I will never buy refurbished again. It is just not worth the hassle. So far, I am very happy with the product. When I first received it the laptop casing appeared to be cracked open a bit, but I just needed to click it back into place and everything is great. Unfortunately, with technology not everything is apparent up front but so far I have no complaints! ... show more

Was not cleaned well marks of stickers for previous owners still visible, has some issues sometime freezes and restarts by it self, I do not recommend
