I've been allergic to smoke for decades. I can't stand to be around anyone who smokes. Campfires are painful to be around. BBQ grills drive me into the house. My eyes tear up and the tears literally drip down my face. The capillaries on the eyeball engorge and turn red. Blinking is painful because it feels like my eyes are filled with sand. When the Canadian wildfire smoke moved into our area I stayed in the house with. the doors and windows shut but it found me anyway. My friend and next door neighbor is also my optometrist. She also has allergies and knows how miserable they can make you. She said she had something that she thought might help and the next day she brought me a physician's sample of Lastacaft eye drops. That and a generic antihistamine brought me the best relief I'd had in 2 weeks. The tears stopped almost immediately and the red capillaries and sandy feeling were almost gone by the third morning. I placed an order with Amazon before my sample ran out. I use prescription eye drops plus a well known OTC eye drop because my eye produces no tears. Works really well but seller sends something that won't last a year??? I have been a long-time Alaway user and wanted to switch it up since Alaway isn't helping as much as it used to. I bought this Lastacaft on Amazon. It works really well for the severe burning and itching I get. My only issue is that two bottles of Alaway was almost two years. Others had ordered this, and the dates were over a year. Mine is like not nine months. Seems odd it expires so soon. ... show more

Listen up, if you’ve tried every antihistamine eye drop out there and have been disappointed, you’ve gotta give Lastacaft a shot. I live in the grass pollen capital of the world and my optometrist prescribed these several years ago and I haven’t looked back. I get extreme burning eyes during allergy season that can suddenly put me in tears and Lastacaft has effectively prevented them for years. ... show more
