Living in Southern California means dealing with the katabatic winds known as the Santa Anas. Generally, they begin in the late summer and last into early fall, and - to put it mildly - they suck! Now, it's only mid-June as I write this, but within a couple weeks the temperature will start to climb into the 80°s, by the end of July we'll be in the 90°s, August & September will see us in the 100°s. Let me tell you... I. Hate. Being. Hot. Especially at night when I'm trying to sleep. As it happens, my old fan took a dump last week, which sucked but at least at least it wasn't 90-fricken-degrees outside, and I had ample time to replace it. This one was very reasonably priced ($38) and I liked that it has a remote control, my old one didn't. This fan was easy to assemble and works well. At speed level 1, it's very quiet. At level 2, it's a still-pleasant white noise. At 3, it's more noticeable, but not so much that it bothers me. Thing is, it's less powerful than my old fan. It's level 3 (highest setting) is equivalent to level 2 on the old one. Thankfully, I also own one of those big round floor fans that blow just shy of tornado-creating, so I'm prepared. Overall, this tower fan looks good and works well, I love the remote control and am glad I paid less than what I would have at Target or Home Depot. I just wish it had a better blow. My favorite all time fan. Bought one on Amazon and three others at various times/places. Two of these fans I've had for several years and they run 24/7 - in my bird room and bedroom. Love that they're adjustable height and remote has a good "reach". Stand has a small foot print and it doesn't take up much room. Level one speed noise is almost non-existent - like a white noise and Level 3 is pretty strong. One fan was dropped and stopped oscillating - but still works - imagine that. They cool well and look good too. Lasko is a great brand for me. Also have two of their oscillating tower heaters that have never failed me. This was an excellent buy. Recommended. ... show more

I love this fan so much I bought it twice. I appreciate that it comes with a remote control so I can start it up and stop it across the room. The first one I had lasted about 8 years before it needed to be replaced. Had I actually vacuumed it out on a regular basis I likely would have gotten more use out of it. I like the height and that the fan comes up across the top of the bed so that I can have it blowing on me and use it for white noise at night. It was very easy to assemble and the fan levels work perfectly for my needs. It's not so heavy that you can't move it from room to room if you needed to. The light that comes on when the device is powered on is very tiny and is not going to keep anyone from sleeping ... show more

This is the absolute perfect fan for my needs! I am a hot sleeper and need a fan on while I sleep, and my ceiling fan just wasn’t cutting it. This fan is the *perfect* height to blow directly onto the bed! It has 3 levels, and honestly the lowest level is strong enough for me! I haven’t used sleep mode because I want it on all night. The noise level is minimal, BUT, sometimes when I change levels or turn off oscillation it makes a louder noise, and I figured out after a few times that if I just smack it lightly (ya know, like you used to have to do with electronics back in my day 😅) the noise stops and it goes back to its regular quiet self. It is louder than my ceiling fan, but I would still consider it quiet. The remote control makes it SO easy to adjust from my bed too! And I love that it doesn’t take up much space at all in my already cramped bedroom! Overall 10/10! I highly recommend this fan!! ... show more
