I’ve learned the hard way, just buy Lasfit LED bulbs the first time for replacing halogen automotive bulbs. These H1 (no fan) bulbs were super easy to instal and worked the first time right out of the box, no troubleshooting or returns. Highly recommend. In this application I used for factory fog lights with H1 bulb. Unfortunately the first 2 (cheap) brands I tried did not work at all. These Lasfit H1 bulbs have a thicker center ‘plug’ and are milled out in the flat round surface to more exactly replicate the original shape of a halogen H1 bulb steel mounting surface. They stayed plugged in during the mounting movements unlike cheaper LED bulbs. Replacing bulb only took a couple of minutes each compared to 15 plus minutes of fighting the ‘other’ brands (after gaining initial access to bulb area). The extra time on other brands was because the bulbs kept falling out of the socket mount both before and during mounting process. No such problem with these Lasfit H1 LED bulbs, super easy replacement and more importantly they worked when I turned the fog lights on unlike the cheap brands that waisted so much of my time on and had to return. A lot waisted time and effort to save about $10 to $20 Learn from me, just go with Lasfit the first time. ** Note no one has influenced me in any way to state below, my endorsement of product based with my experience buying LED bulbs at full price on Amazon: Lasfit makes plenty of options to fit exactly in place original halogen bulbs including fan-less options where mounting does not have space or fit to accommodate a big fan head either. Outstanding cooling build design with our without cooling fan. My experience with other cheaper none Lasfit brands was in every case I have had to replace. I chose Lasfit and have been thrilled with brightness, and longevity, with each Lasfit purchase I have become a bigger fan of there 1:1 halogen to LED replacements. Just buy Lasfit the first time for LED replacement of halogen bulbs for: • headlights • daytime driving lights • driving lights • fog lights Great fit, options for fan-less LED for application where there is no room for a big fan in the back of the bulb or OEM cage the back side of the bulb myst fit in. There are even some new 2023 mini fan models where the mini fan is in the bulb shaft (between the plug and LED). This brand has excellent worked perfectly in every application I have used them for. I have now replaced all halogen bulbs in ALL my vehicles with Lasfit LED 6K kelvin bulbs. Not a fan of having to do installs again. I have yet needed to replace a single Lasfit bulb since I started using them to replace failing cheaper brands that can be more difficult to install and not a perfect fit, and the cheaper brands in my experience have not been reliable, with bulbs failures often in less than 12 months, even if I was initially happy with light performance. Extremely pleased with Lasfit LED bulb products. ** I paid full price for this and every LED bulb purchase, and have not been asked to review this product, or any product on Amazon in exchange for discounts, free products, gift cards, or anything. I have to say, had it not been for great price, I most likely would have passed on these but, only because my ride is a Benz. Being I am a long time mechanic (25+ years) with the last 5 years or so predominantly on German vehicles, I know Mercedes very well, combine that with the mixed reviews from other Mercedes owner...The price is why I rolled the dice. Those who reported either "flickering" or Can Bus issues are not wrong. I've done "LED" conversions for a few of my customers using ballast resistors from the start. (I will give you a tip that should avoid you having those issues with no special wiring or use of extra items ie: resistors) I should mention I bought these to replace my dim ugly yellowish front parking lamps on my 2005 E55. Now I knew I could "make" these work regardless with a simple 50W resistor, I just didn't want to bother so was counting on the "Plug and play" actually working. And what do you know P & P worked, excellent product, good quality sturdy and BRIGHT! Only issue I had was it made me take notice to how lousy and dim my low beams now looked in comparison lol ...Of course I immediately ordered Lastfit's H7 LED low beams also "should" be Plug and play before "Amazon Day" was over (forgot about the fog lamp tho😡) I will update on how the low beams work out.... Here is a tip when installing in pairs ie: parking lamps or license plate lamps Don't install one then turn them on to "have a look" or to "see the difference" between the old and new! that my friends will almost surely cause either the "2 flash" on off then shutdown and/or Can-bus error signal detected by the assigned SAM control >>>>>>> ECU >>>> issues and stores fault code. I recommend installing both lamps before lighting them. Now I did this "WITHOUT" disconnecting power (Yes I realize that is a no-no when dealing with anything electrical.... it's mechanics 101) so I am not advising you to do this, nor do I endorse it and I certainly won't follow my procedure on any of my customers Benzos 🙄..... If you want to know why I did it that way...Take a look around the Mercedes, BMW, Volkswagen etc ... forums. I'm sure somebody has discovered why and posted it leading to discussions ad nauseam! These were very easy to install. However to me they only put out average light... I really thought they would be brighter than what they are... Will be replacing these with a hid kit....
