This is fantastic. Being a bit OCD, everything I hang, from pictures to shelves, has to be perfectly in line; otherwise I'm a bit twitchy. This laser level, which is very nicely priced, is perfect for that. The green laser is so much easier to see than the red one found in other levelers, and you don't need weird special glasses to see it. The vertical, horizontal, and diagonal angles are spot on.

I got this laser level for some home improvement projects and I am very impressed with what you get in this package. This thing would have saved me a lot of headaches in the past, that's for sure! It shoots a really easy-to-see green laser across your wall on the Y and X axis. You can adjust the brightness to 3 levels, and they're all easy to read even in a bright room. It self-levels for a few degrees, and will flash if you're outside of the level zone and need to adjust the tripod. You can also lock it to keep it from self-leveling in case you need a diagonal line. This makes it quite easy to get a clean, level line all the way across one wall of a room which is great for painting, hanging shelves and pictures, and all sorts of other projects. This only projects in one direction but it is quite wide and goes from floor to ceiling in my house, as well as covering any of my largest walls on the horizontal. The tripod it comes with is pretty lightweight, which isn't preferable for a tripod, but it does the job well enough and keeps the laser steady. It tilts and adjusts to a lot of different angles but is only a couple feet high at most so you may need to sit it on a higher surface to get the horizontal axis where you need it. It has two bubble levels on it as well so that you can get your square before positioning the laser. The tripod has a standard fitting and can hold my camera, which is a nice bonus, and also means that you can use a larger tripod for the laser head if you happen to have one. The laser head comes with a hard travel case and the tripod comes with a thin shoulder bag. It also came with batteries to operate the laser. Overall I'm really impressed with this set - this is a very useful tool and I'm glad to have it in my toolbox.

I usually get assigned the task of hanging things on our walls and it's not always just one frame, it's usually a set of them and they all have to be lined up and leveled perfectly. This laser level works great and internally has a gimbal which will flash the laser if it's unlevel. Sometimes you have to place the level on unlevel ground and adjust to be level on the wall.. When this happens, there's an option to shut the flashing off. I am very happy with this level and look forward to the help it's going to give me for years to come.
