Even in strong winds up to 50 mph it is still up. The mask has fallen off and crumbled due to sun. I was skeptical of the strength of the metal pole, spring and upper support. It has failed very well and it still dancing about as my scare crow in spite of monsoons in the Arizona desert. Would like to have an option of different masks and clothes so it can be used as a scare crow and as a Halloween decoration!

The media could not be loaded. It didn’t come with any screws. I had some miscellaneous screws that worked out just fine. The right hand had a crack/small hole on it, but so far no issues. It’s eye catching throughout the neighborhood. I bought a green solar light so it can be seen at night. Ghost Face just goes with the flow on windy days! Overall…I love it!!

Got this to keep deer away from my raised veggie beds. Idk if it will work but it would certainly make me hesitate if I was a deer. Pole was pretty sturdy. Easy to put together. The spring made it lean back to far in my opinion so I used some zip ties to straighten him up. Can’t have my screamcrow laying down on the job.

Our chickens were being stalked by a family of hawks. We got a dancing man. It did help some. OThe hawks stalked at more of a distance. Then we got this and I didn’t stab it into the ground far enough so it’s leaning over, with the face pointed directly at the sky. We haven’t seen a hawk since. I think they moved to a new neighborhood. No birds come to our yard anymore, actually. Maybe an occasional blue jay.

I read the reviews before buying this product. I saw how others rated it low for breaking easily. I had low expectations but it was good while it lasted I guess. This scarecrow arrived July 16 and broke on August 15. One whole month. The thing could somehow make it through a tropical storm but not a little thunderstorm. Interesting. The metal poles to stake it in the ground and hold it up are very flimsy and cheap. The welding is poorly done, too. It can easily break off (and it did!). The screws it comes with also don’t align with where it’s supposed to go which was also pretty annoying. You’ll have to screw in new holes on the hands just to make him hold onto the handlebars. It’s fun but truthfully can VERY easily be made at home and will still be cheaper than this. I don’t think this is worth $50. $30–maybe, but anything more is really just a rip-off. We’re likely going to buy new poles and make a more sturdy one.

I was so excited when I got this rotating ghost unit. It was outside for about two weeks when it came crashing down. The four little weld “spots” on the rotating part, they all rusted and it fell off the base. I can’t even find anybody to spot weld the thing back together. The body is built well, but don’t get the rotating one. Great concept. I wanted this to work sooo bad.
